Griz til I die

The broadcast team for Saturday's game is Roy Philpott, Sam Acho, and Taylor Davis down on the field. Philpott has called one Griz game before and it was the national championship in 2023 against SDSU, which was the only other appearance on network TV for the Griz. Acho has jumped into the broadcast booth a little bit this year while also working on the ESPN studio team and his weekly appearances on College Football Live. Davis was on the field for the title game in Frisco as well.

The Griz will follow the Celebration Bowl between SC State and Prairie View A&M which begins at 10am. That game should definitely be over by the time our game starts. The Griz game will go head to head against the Army/Navy game at 1 on CBS. There's a lot of pageantry to that game but IMO the game itself is usually not very good, so we may have a chance to draw some eyeballs. Should be a fun game in the stadium.

I'll have multi-view set up to watch both Griz and Army v Navy.

Army v Navy "usually not very good"...

You've lost your mind and obviously have not watched one of the games in the last decade or so.

I saw Air Force vs Army at West Point. Beautiful place. The game was tight and nearly a fight at the end. Then both teams had to go sing the other schools fight song together in front of each others cadets. So incredibly cool.

Yes, Army-Navy is great to watch because Navy's midshipmen, led by future Marine officers , will kick Army's sorry dog-faced butt as usual : ) !!!

Seriously, a great game in one of the countries oldest and absolutely thee most patriotic rivalry in the country as Army, Navy and the Marine Corps each have celebrated their 250th birthday this year !!!

Go Navy, Go GRIZ. !!!

Can the Griz/USD game be viewed on both the ABC and ESPN+ channels or is it only ABC?

BTW, The Army/Navy games over the last 10 yrs have been pretty exiting to watch. Navy has dominated the games but Army is coming on strong lately.

Go Army, Go Griz

Let me re-phrase that. I love the pageantry and tradition of this game, and there definitely have been a lot of close games the past several seasons. What I meant was I don’t really like the style of ball either team plays. I’m not a big option guy and I just don’t really enjoy that style of Football. Everything else about that game is great and it’s one the best traditions in College Football. I just don’t like the Xs and Os of it.

It isn't showing up on ESPN+ search. Friday Cat game is as well as Sat basketball games....but I had thought playoff games in the pass also streamed on plus.

Just a correction UR, they sing the other teams alma mater, not the fight song. Very cool.

23 year plus Army guy and I usually don't watch the game. I didn't work with a lot of West Pointers in all those years, so no one really made a big deal out of that game around me ever. There two officers who I worked with that I remember and one was actually a cheerleader and the only reason I knew that was the second one I worked with was there with her and told me.

I had season tickets two years for Air Force when I was at Fort Carson and went to both Army and Navy. It just didn't seem to have the same feel to it that I have heard a lot of people describe with Army/Navy. A bigger game atmosphere than when they played Colorado State for sure, but not dazzling to me either way.

Damn, I hope we can fill it up. The attendance last week was sort of dismal.
That stadium was 'wired for sound' from opening whistle. And showed. Give me 19k crazy SOBs over a packed house of pinky wielding (not that there is anything wrong with that) homecomingers or the like. Now give me about 3k more looking for blood and whisky, and we should have the proper elixir of fandom. Though feel free to fill 'er up. I will be the guy making the request to rip somebodies head off.

Given that the weather will be better and, possibly, the last home game of the year, I think people show up in force.
Weather was dismal and roads outside Missoula were dangerous and we expect to get first and second home playoff games.. If we couldn't win a first round game without a full house then we aren't the team folks want to travel over snowy passes to come see.

I suspect the diehard Spokane fans s that sit next to me and didn't make the game felt that way. I expect to see them this Saturday.

18+K loud fans should be enough and it was.
