BSC Officiating, Please...

Explain the delay of game when DL shifted.
Hoops, I know your asking someone else, but I am just trying to understand because I could not watch yesterday and haven't seen it. I was only able to pull up the radio feed on the internet and they said that penalty was a false start on SDSU first and then when the call was signaled on the field they said it was for the defense simulating the snap count. I had to take it at face value, knowing that those guys can be extremely biased, but I don't ever remember Montana being called for that in recent years.
They way that Sunberg described the false start, that was clearly a missed call on the QB on the second play of the game for sure.
From what I heard on the radio call, I would not praise this group of officials. No better or worse than what we've had, they just sold a lot of people on some southern hospitality from what I could decern.

The late call on the delay of game by Griz DL was wrong. The main ref goofed up the call with the multi[le penalties, but they corrected it. In that call, the penalty on our defender chasing the ball was wrong; he can't stop if I player steps in front of him They talked way too long on little or dumb stuff. They missed false starts on SDSU several times, including the second play of the game. They let go some huge and clear holding calls a few times, when it was blatant and right in front of the ref.
The delay of game on our defense was actually correct, it just hasn’t been called all year. That was a rule change this year.

Only if you “don’t know ball.”

Team Pre-Snap Movement
Any defensive team player within one yard of the line of scrimmage (stationary or not) may not make quick and abrupt or exaggerated actions that simulate action at the snap and are not part of normal defensive player movement in an obvious attempt to make the offense foul. This will continue as a point of emphasis in the game. The offense will be held to the same standard as any pre-snap movement that simulates action at the snap is a foul on the offense for a false start.

Well you are still allowed to shift. You can’t simulate movement forward, but shifting is fine. You can now only use two cadences to do it. I’ll have to watch the tv replay. Hard to see in the stadium sometimes

The questionable call I couldn't remember, and posted above, was the blocking below knees by the D. That was a bad call for the situation.

Correct call. No issues with that penalty whatsoever. And rightfully so; that's a very dangerous play.
No, you are completely wrong, and obviously haven't talked to anyone associated with the team. Did you not see how long Bobby argued with the ref on the sidelines after that call? You must not understand the rule. Do you know where the players were when the play started, and when the play occurred. Those things are critical to the rule. I hope you have never officiated a football game, because you are clueless about the game of football. Truly clueless.

Siiiiiiigh.

Does hoops ever watch the game, or just zero in "Bobby on the sidelines!"?

Also, reading his "analysis" in thread after thread....have the Grizzlies ever committed a penalty?
