Andrew Schimdt nails it. Maybe he should be the next head Griz coach.

To be fair, most former players that have a love for their team will be hard critics. I don't think he is being a bad fan, but has really high expectations because of the success those teams had.
Higher expectations than 11-1, and a narrow loss to the cats in a game that could've gone either way?

Not only that , just because we're not built exactly like NDSU doesn't mean we haven't been or can't be successful. We beat NDSU in our house 2 years ago using our system, and thats true for any coach running almost any kind of system, it comes down to coaching and execution, if you're able to do both well you will succeed.
I think lost in all the discussion of the success two years ago was the fact that Ronny Bradford was running the defense. Is it a coincidence that the defense hasn’t been the same since he departed? Honest question. I think he was a tremendous coach and it’s u fortunate we lost him to the NFL, but not surprising.

Plus all the nattys they won. I totally get it for Schmidt being upset we're not winning nattys every year. I mean dudes got more championship rings than fingers, right?

You asked if I played football, I did not, I played baseball. What does being in their podcast have to with anything??

And you're obviously clueless if you don't know my ties to the athletic dept.
Because Wahlberg and his crew evidently think highly enough of Schmidt to invite him and not you to discuss the state of griz football that's what..

Guess what I don't really care how close you think you are to the griz football team.. Schmidt ties are 100×s to what yours are...just for that fact he actually played for them...everything else is irrelevant..

You are wrong. Completely.

Also, they've asked me to come on the podcast before. It'd be fun, the night they asked, I was already doing family stuff. Why do you spout off about stuff you have zero clue about? Very strange.

uhhh... lol. I would not say that's an accurate statement. Tabes is on one today, but I can definitely say his ties are closer than Andrew's.

Anyone saying the Griz are NOT FCS Championship caliber on or about 3 Dec 2025 is a dipshit and should get an eGriz.com lifetime band.

If Schmidt is saying those words - he is timid and weak. My guess is it's just you saying it.
Apparently you haven’t been listening to anything Schmidt has been saying. Because he’s said it re-peaked-ly and LOUDLY.
He’s neither weak nor timid. He is, however, correct.

Anyway is it a marching band or string band or…? We need more information about the band

His winning Percentage is way higher than what Hauck 2.0 has provided. He has every right to be critical.

Is he an ex-griz football.player?
How many times has he ever been on their podcast?
Schmidt is a semi-regular guest.. with close ties to the program,.. they must value his opinion or they wouldnt keep inviting him back, that alone gives him more credibility
Nick has been on the podcast many times! He sponsored a "Financial tip of the week" for two seasons and we talked ball weekly doing it. It was very fun! You're welcome back any time, Tabes!

Also, Andrew Schmidt is not a semi-regular guest. He's a full fledged Skyline employee. He has multiple sponsors attached to his show and it's very popular.

As I always say, Andrew's opinions are not mine nor Skyline's. But he's an opinionated guy who's entertaining who has a big audience and that's a boost for our business and our content. Plus, he cracks me up!

Everyone has a right but he talks how we should be winning nattys every year and that its a disgrace the players now have let the program turn to shambles under their watch. Again, how many nattys did he win? Last time i checked we're still in contention for nattys, aren't we? Just like when he played. Always close but never quite there.

The biggest differences he points out are that the No. 1 goal of the program is to beat the Cats. Which has happened twice in the last nine years. No. 2 is to win the Big Sky. Which has happened once in 16 seasons. Third is to get a degree - which they are doing very well. And No. 4 is to win the natty. Which no Griz team in a quarter century, including Andrew's, have been able to accomplish.

Hey, newby...I already addressed this.

Perhaps you should be band.

During his time we went to 2 National Championships, and had 3 semi-final appearances. Those teams had a lot of success and the reason why he has high expectations. The Griz won 7 conference titles during Hauck's first era and have only produced 1 since coming back. I know the landscape has changed, but he had a different experience.
