Cats v Yale

Did anyone else here watch at least 1 entire Youngstown State game this season before the playoffs or just me?
I did and I was at the NDSU Youngstown game. Tickets were cheap and no home crowd. Weird experience. It was like the Eastern Kentucky Tarleton game. The games here are NOT like going to game at Wa-Griz, well except for Ohio State. THAT is a crazy crowd regardless of the game. Marshall SUCKS. They have a stadium that seats 35K+.

Did you think Youngstown almost beat NDSU or was the score misleading in that YSU never really had a chance due to not being able to get NDSU offense off the field in the second half?

You prove everyday that you are just a loud mouthed idiot who knows very little if anything about football. You best stick to posting about something you know about such as legal instead of football. If you are too stupid to see that Youngstown State did not have a chance in the second half because their defensive front is weak. You keep saying the stupidest things. Thank goodness you have no say in how UM’s football team is run or else you would have Pflu coaching the offense to 15 points a game while the defense gives up 37 points a game like Youngstown State and you are the only person who is too stupid or demented to see that as a failure.
Again, tell us how YSU is "terrible". They weren't terrible.

Yale wears teams down with run game and the tough runner they have. From a current Ivy coach who was an all ivy running back:

"Yale really wore Youngstown down with their running game, but it didn’t show up until the second half when Y was tired. That's why I always hate when coaches give up on the running game early. The kid Pitsenberg is a horse for Yale and had about 1200 yds in 10 games and another 209 yds last week. He should get drafted."

Your above post was stupid too.

I have and will say again 93/129 in scoring defense is terrible. Every team including Yale besides Murray State, Robert Morris and Mercyhurst were able to score whenever they wanted against the YSU defense. My analysis of the YSU offense is that they were not terrible like their defense but they were inconsistent. The defense, particularly the run defense and the front 6 in their 4-2-5 are what made Youngstown State terrible as a team. My point is every mediocre or better team on YSU schedule ran their defense down ragged not just Yale.

Kroger Field in Lexington is rocking for big time games. The crowd for a game there against Florida a few years back is one of the most lit I have seen at any level of football.

"With all the computers these days, Yale will have video of the Cats last 5 games with each play broken down by down, distance, hash formation, play and how the other teams defended them. It's crazy but given each side of the ball runs about 70 plays per game they will watch 350 plays on both sides of the ball. You can sort by blitzes, down/distance/formation, etc. Coaches spend an enormous amount of time watching it to develop their game plans. In the end it comes down to “johnnies & joes” and turnovers!!"

Hoops do you want to put down $100 on
Yale winning straight up if you think Yale is going to beat the Cats? I’ll take that bet I am confident Cats will win this game.

Add to that, Yale will probably get the CIA to provide live satellite feeds of the skats practices this week. :~)

Yale is a pretty good team. Their QB is elite for FCS. RB is really good. They have a really good receiver that got hurt in 3rd quarter. Some really good defensive backs. They have guys that were recruited by FBS schools. I would guess a lot were team captains and valedictorians along with being their teams best player in high school. Smart players can make adjustments. Just like the military academy teams. Football players that come to Ivy schools are not necessarily the wealthy legacy kids. They are kids that worked hard in school and life to get there. It is the same way in NCAA basketball tournament. They always surprise someone. You have to give them credit for coming back from 35-7. That shows a high level of toughness and resolve. But with that all being said I don't see them beating the Cats. The Cats are too good up front and will wear them down. But I don't think Yale will leave Bozeman embarrassed.

I was there only because a work colleague asked me to help entertain customers. That dome sucks eggs, indoor football is gross, seats are cheap plastic, no WiFi, beer selection is awful but to answer your question no the game never felt close. It’s like a March madness 1 v 16 seed when the 16 gets up by like ten points early, there’s no danger , you know it’s just a matter of time before the 1 takes over and wins 99% of the time. Ysu stinks.

I didn't say Yale was going to beat the Cats. I will be you $100 that I never said Yale would beat the Cats. Should be we bet?

I provided my Bobcat scouting report to the Yale coaches. I provided Brint's Cat scouting report on the Cats to several of my Yale friends, as well as my scouting report. Several of my friends have skied with me at Big Sky and come to MT at other times. One of them sent me the following: "Like all cats, the bobcats have cockiness as part of their nature and one of Yale’s best hopes is to be underestimated. Still, MSU has a deep team and is battle tested against other outfits from schools where football is a religion and not a recruiting arm for Goldman Sachs.

Yale should thank you for your help!
Cheers"

This friend went to law school at Yale with Bill and Hillary Clinton. One of his professors was James Moore, who grew up in MT. Moore was the leading bankruptcy law scholar of his generation. He died in 1994.

"He was born on a farm in Condon, Ore., and attended a one-room school in rural Montana. In 1922, at age 18, he graduated from Montana State College in Bozeman with high honors, and in 1934 he graduated cum laude from the University of Chicago Law School.

After earning a doctorate at Yale Law School, he taught at Chicago for two years.

Professor Moore was the Sterling Professor Emeritus of Law at Yale University, where he taught for 37 years. He was also the author of the 34-volume "Moore's Federal Practice" (2d ed., 1948) and the three-volume "Moore's Manual: Federal Practice & Procedure" (1962)."
