Vigen is staying at MSU

Exactly, the idea that he's holding out for a better offer is wild to me.

The only step up from that school would be one that's not going to take a chance on an FCS coach. Wisconsin? Michigan State? Stanford?

He's got no shot at any of those places.

So again, it's one of two things:
He didn't get offered the job, which seems surprising given all the leaks, or
He got offered, but turned it down because he didn't want to leave MSU in the lurch because they wanted him to leave early.

This seems most likely, to me, but I also think it's pretty stupid. Good on him for being principled, but I don't think you're going to find a job in the next year or two in the west/midwest that's all that more appealing than Oregon State.

MSU can sweeten your contract maybe $100k at most, but turning down $2M per year for that seems extremely dumb.

For Vigen's sake, I hope they just rejected him.
He withdrew when he found out he wasn't going to be the choice. They don't have to take the risk of an FCS guy. They obviously were tempted as he was a finalist.

And if he did turn down a job for the second year in a row because of the timeline issue, then how many schools are going to take him seriously in the future?

So, Bobby was dissatisfied at UM before he left foran opportunity with more money? I don’t think so.
He was obviously dissatisfied with his job. He collected a BSC Championship every year and being young and competitive he wanted a bigger challenge. I think most Griz fans saw it coming and wished him the best when he departed. It’s the natural order of college coaches.

This just seems self evident.

Congratulations BS33, your lack of ability to understand this has officially pushed me to the bottle.

Happy Thanksgiving

I said several times what thread it was in, Perceptions, highlighted where I accepted your $100 bet, and tagged you in it twice in that thread.

Like ya, I will bet you again for this potentially forthcoming playoff game. But, are you just going to be a deadbeat again when I tag you losing this bet right here in this thread?
I wanted the post. How hard would it have been to post it? I assume you didn’t have the post. I don’t know what a tag is. You couldn’t produce it. Giving me a thread was just plain stupid. And you are a known liar. Have lied for all the time you posted. And are lying now. Yes, let’s bet again. $100. Even. And fuck you. You are a huge asshole and loser.

I think you took this excerpt of my comment out of context. I said I don't know what Vigen's motivations are. I think most FCS head coaches would like the opportunity to get a good FBS job with the big money. I am sure Vigen will continue to get offers and he will most likely entertain them. I am just glad he will be with MSU thru the playoffs. I am sure Leon Costello has a game plan ready in the event he leaves or any coach of other sport departs. These things are going to happen.
Do you think he will stay through the playoffs?

Just throwing this out there, Choate left MSU a week or so after announcing he was staying for "unfinished business." I think we should all wait before we believe what Vigen is saying.
The MSU administration also wouldn’t indulge in that weird spring season during Covid, which also lead to his departure. The timing of Choate’s false announcement came during a completely different context than the one that exists now. I’d say the Cats are better off for it.

Huh. Please put in English.

No. You need to write in English. Is that too hard for you?
Dude. I know you’re having a tough time here tonight, but nobody should indulge in your willful ignorance. You can read and write the English language at all hours of every day, can’t you?

I anticipate some insults will follow. I take solace knowing that you have insulted Cat and Griz fan alike since you’ve been posing on Egriz under at least two profile names. In your own mind, you are a football genius. To many of us living in the real world, you are an average level Bobby fluffer. God bless.
