Therein lies the ? Did the holding effect the defensive lineman from making a play on the runner ?
IMO, noTherein lies the ? Did the holding effect the defensive lineman from making a play on the runner ?
I do not blame the loss on the refs. IMHO, the outcome was determined on three plays: the pick 6, the blocked field goal and the holding call on the Davis TD. The outcome of only one of those was determined by the refs. Did that call determine the outcome of the game??Yes it could have changed the outcome of the game but so could our defense stopping the cats on the last drive to get the ball back or ah yaht not throwing the pick 6. Don’t blame this loss on the refs
Once again. The flag was thrown long before Brooks broke free for the TD. it only “affected the game in such a way” in hindsight.I am well aware that is not a reviewable penalty on the field. It's a very BIG issue .In the pros as well as it has been in college football this season most can clearly see that there is holding by the OL on near every play. The refs have let it go as long as it does not effect the field of play. Either you are consistent or you are not but to call holding that effected the game in such a way should certainly be reviewed. The conference will not do it because if they did it would change the out come of this game. It has always been interesting to me when the refs make a mistake that a few plays latter they call a penalty on the other team that is not deserved. They act like they are sorry that they screwed up but here is a bone.
