Congrats to the damn Cats.

I’m honestly happy for the Bobs. They went from people wondering if they’d win 5 games to coming into the Mecca and stealing one from the Griz. That’s the thrill of a lifetime for a lot of those guys. You could see how much it meant to some of the players like the little RB kiddo. He was so pumped! That was definitely the biggest win in program history for them. Good for them.
Be real, CDA, I’ve followed your tongue-in-cheek comments for years. Real edgy and shit. I fucking say this as someone sitting in a Missoula bar while Cat fans sing songs about beating the griz, should we be this dismissive at this point?! Is this just another Cat win, or is this starting to become the norm? Why the fuck are you being tongue in cheek instead of sounding the Alarm?!

Are they really stealing them at this point, CDA? Because it would have actually seemed like the Griz stole this one, had they won. Please explain.

I get why you are alarmed. It is a troubling trend that has emerged. The Bobcats are now the Griz of olden days. They control both lines of scrimmage. They are winning the in state recruiting battle and Bobby Hauck refuses to abandon the Swiss cheese defense that won’t win a national championship. He wins plenty of games and pads his record. Where is the natty? He has the playoffs to obtain redemption. Hope the Griz can do it. They pissed away home field advantage.

Honestly what did Griz coaches to “piss away home field advantage “ today? That was just a tough game vs two good teams . Tipped INT for a TD coaches fault? A questionable hold call on an otherwise brilliant call for a TD? I think Griz fans that enjoyed the 16 year streak have an unrealistic sense of reality. We are competing against a school with similar resources and support and it was tough close loss. I just thought this was a great game that either team could have won.

There is no nostalgia or unrealistic expectations on my part. The Cats are winning the battle the last ten years. They just are. Deny it. Hug yourself. Say it’s equal resources. Balogna. The Griz got beat at home. Home field advantage down the drain. They lost the biggest Brawl of them all. Yes, the Cats are good. That’s the point. They have been good and the Griz need to up their game. The Cats are realistically looking at playing in the natty three times in the last five years. The Griz. One.

Dominant line play is a distant memory for Griz fans at this point. For whatever reason, it just has not materialized during Bobby 2.0.

You can have all the skill players in the world, but without a dominant line on at least one side of the ball, chances are you aren’t going to win a ‘chip.

No, it’s not just another Bob win. Which is why I said I think it’s the biggest win in that program’s history. We came in undefeated and lost at home. That is a huge deal for a Bob.

I guess I’m not “sounding the alarm” because I understand that sometimes in sports, you lose. It’s kind of part of the whole thing.

Sure. So, the game had some momentum shifts, but none bigger than the pick 6 off of a tip. Very much a right place/time play. I believe that very fortunate play was the key difference in the game. Maybe others believe the key was a random 2nd and 7 play in the first quarter, I don’t know.

I have more respect for your takes than others, but this game it felt like the few times we stopped them, it was mostly luck. Today, it felt like most of our good plays were those fortunate plays you speak of

Fair enough.

Can we agree that most of the fans that have stuck around since the 90s want another natty?

I don’t fucking care about beating run of the mill big sky and up and coming FCS programs that were d2 a few years ago.

Are we back to natty or bust or not? How many fucking years do we have to wait to win the big games against tough teams?

We agree that you are an idiot.
