This is a day for me to remember and cherish old and bitter memories. I remember our student body president losing his trousers after we've lost to the bobcats back in around 1967 or so. I remember the bobcats watering the field when we played there during Coach Haucks first term. I remember drunk bobcats spilling whiskey down the back of my neck. I remember them screaming obscenities at my husband and me when we were in our 40s over in Bozeman wearing our grizz gear. I remember the bobcats still suck polka. This game is engraved in my bones. Go Grizzlies.

Likewise us--many years back my wife trudging through the mud in the cats' parking lot on her crutches, cat fans slobbering drunk and pitching every manner of dirty talk at her. Of course the Griz won, but that was our last cat Griz game in Bozangeles. I scrutinize Griz fan behavior at our cat Griz home games and never see anything like that towards cat fans.

I apologize, I thought I was posting in a different thread. I’m 80 and I make mistakes on this board sometimes.

I now see the subject/thread that I posted on and I am man enough to admit that I made a mistake.

The Cats chant to the Mony, Mony song, you youngsters think it’s a Billy Idol song, yet it was first recorded in 1968.

Just like the song, the Cats are trying to claim/use something that they don’t own.

The Griz own this state. The Griz were the first ones to be called “Montana State University”, it was not until the mid 60’s that the true University of our great state became officially known as it is now known as the “University of Montana”.

The other school to the east then decided that they would piggyback upon our success and started using “Montana State University”.

Since there existence they have always been the followers, never the leaders.

Maybe this message will help inform others, even octogenarians can trash talk.

This is a great thread. My favorite part is that it's designated as a trash talk thread, but so many people seem to be offended that people are talking trash.

It’s a reflection of msu implementing your famous trash can Tommy play.

First of all, you guys haven't won since 2001. That's not great either. Secondly, we have 3 championships in football while you guys have 2 (granted, 2 of ours weren't FCS, but even if I don't count those it's still only 2-1, so not underselling it there). Lastly, we have been a championship contender for 5 seasons now, and a staple in the FCS playoffs for longer than that, so if that's not even a "blip on a radar", then you simply don't know what constitutes a good team.

0-0 doesn’t count as a championship. At best you have 2 1/2, 1 of which is at the upper level.

Like I said, it's acceptable if you don't count that one. If you only count our FCS championship, you guys only have 2 championships as opposed to our 1. That's better, but not that much better

I have been a Griz fan since the mid 1950's. Some of my hero's back then were Norm Kamschor, Montana Bachman,Stan Renning, John Lands, etc. A LOT of years ago, and I have NEVER wavered, nor will I till my dying day. Dammit, GO GRIZ!!!!, BEAT THE CATS !!!!!!
