As expected, most of the changes in the poll happened in the lower half of the list. Higher up, the pollsters decided that Tarleton’s big win over another cupcake was enough to nudge them past Tennessee Tech, which lost to an FBS. We should not be surprised by that; they’ve been coddling the Texans and their pitiful schedule all year long. After that, they hammered UC-Davis down much more than I expected after a road loss to a highly ranked team.
Then, despite those four losses in a row, they did not drop South Dakota State nearly as much as I expected. Continuing their MVFC bias, they also let Southern Illinois off easy. Sigh.
