College Gameday in Missoula for the Brawl

I said this earlier in the season but they only go to P4 games anymore. They have yet to go to a G5 game this year and they only went to one last year. They haven’t been to an FCS game since 22 and likely won’t be back anytime soon.

I’m still pissed at them over what they did 4 years ago but I still want them to come just because I want the free Marketing for the University. It would be great for UM to showcase their campus and school to the college football world. I’m tired of their shit though.
 
Gotta remember it’s not as simple as them just choosing a game and going. Lots of logistical stuff that probably made it really difficult. They have a pretty big crew that travels, not sure where they would have stayed in missoula on one of the hottest hotel weekends in recent memory. Something They would have had to plan for quite a long time ago. There is not a conspiracy.
 
ESPN's CEO is a graduate of an FCS school - Cornell. It's not like they don't have memories of their undergraduate time at the school. It's all about eyeballs and advertising $. I just took a look at the X announcement and it had over 4K likes. I don't know if a post about College Gameday for the brawl would receive the same number of likes.

The days of college gameday going to a fcs campus are long gone imo..the guy who pushed for that in the past at ESPN is now long gone and working for the WWE.

ESPN, could have gone to number 1.NDSU versus no.2 SDSU game in Brookings SD and they said no to that too.

You're right it would have gotten more!
 
A lot of your are ignoring the nuance of what it would have taken to get Gameday to missoula and are oversimplifying the decision on ESPNs part.
 
On Jackrabbit Illustrated (SDSU podcast), awhile ago they had a guest talk about the guy who worked for CGD was promoting smaller schools, had since left the job. They haven't been to a small school since he left a year ago. So I'm assuming small schools wil be out of the question from here on out.
