Good, Bad, Ugly - PSU

Good:

- the Griz leaving the playbook open after being up 2-3 scores and keeping momentum, leading to a blowout
- still got tons of playing time for 2s and 3s and they moved the ball down the field and made stops
- every single Griz RB scored a TD (Gillman, Rocker, Fonoti, and Jones)
- Gillman did Gillman things. 81 yards on only 10 carries and two TDs
- Ah Yat was smooth and efficient again today. Used his legs a little more today. Threw for 3 and ran for 1
- 5 INTs by the Griz defense. They lead the conferences in picks and are one of the tops in all of FCS. 2 picks by Rausch
- good to see another TD by Gale
- Deck had a great return and 3 catches for 63
- that Jones run (true freshman) was awesome. He trucked that defender
- fun to see Wing have a pick and play so well against the team he transferred from. Bet he is glad to be a Griz and undefeated and heading to playoffs

Bad:
- that kickoff turnover to get down 7-0 right away wasn’t great
- bohannon dropped a sure fire TD that I be he wishes he had back

Ugly:
- that hook and lateral fumble wasn’t pretty

Good to see a blowout. Cat Griz should be a battle. Glad we are at home! Feel free to add and FTC!!!

Ugly, Harper getting tackled by the Turf Monster. At least it looked like it to me.

Ugly, missed fg

Good, my boy Hendrix striking again. Feel free to get on his bandwagon

Good, Flowers and Jensen getting to pass the ball.

Best, Guernsey with his 1st GRIZ reception!

Good, continued improved OL and DL play.
Harper was tripped up by a defender with an angle who dove and made nice play.

Good:
-Domination
-Backups and young guys getting reps

Bad:
-Opening kickoff
-Missed FG
-Giving up WAAAY to many 3rd and Longs

Ugly:
-Portland State Football and the entire situation/status of and surrounding their program
The stats show PSU got 1 first down in 2d half.

Correct we adjusted after the 1st half, however in the 1st half we didn't defend it very well:

-3rd and 15 at 5:15 in the 1st Quarter
-3rd and 20 at 13:45 in the 2nd Quarter

And that's just from me skimming through the 1st quarter and the start of the 2nd. The defense overall played very well, but we were also playing Portland State, coming up on the Playoffs and better teams we won't always have the luxury to wait an entire half before we adjust.

So twice in the game? Big deal. Again, PSU got 1 first down in 2d half.

Adjust? What adjustment was made?

You are complaining about something that pretty much didn’t occur in this game.

Great: Coaches and team kept operating at a Championship level, even when the backups backups came into the game.
The number of Montana Griz fans showing up for the game.
AZDoc wearing the right shirts on the right days

Good: INTs by TJ Rausch (2), Micah Harper (1), Peyton Wing (1), Cy Stevenson (1),
25 yd Jensen TD pass to Korbin Hendrix
Offensive efficiency in the game - 9 of 12 drives ending in TDs
Almost housed two of the INTs
Jensen's composure and speed on the QB sprint rollout
Composure by Luke Flowers on the TD drive
Full house backfield for the Fonoti TD
30 yard TD run by Hashim Jones
The team congratulating and celebrating each other on turnovers and touchdowns, especially the younger guys.

Bad: False starts and personal fouls
Great returns but just can't seem to break a return for a TD

Ugly: Portland State chippiness at the end of the game
14 PSU first downs in the first half.
KOR missed squib kick
ESPN choosing to not have College Game Day in Missoula

Because the team with the most picks is listed in the ncaa stats as no. 1 in picks. I can’t believe I have to explain that to you. You really are out of it.
Really? Have you read his posts? And you still can’t believe you have to explain basic elements of the game to him?

63-17! Yeah, they played like shit. Come on, 11-0 doesn't accidentally happen. Some games that were closer than we'd like, but shit Utgriz, are you stupid or do you just like criticizing and listening to your own voice. We opened up the playbook by choice. This team is coming together when it counts. This was a dominating win but still wasn't dominating enough? Pure idiocy. Teams are constantly adjusting throughout the game, not just at half. It's called making defensive calls on the field, as the game goes on. Armchair QBs are so amusing.
