Bobby Ball: Is it real or a fantasy ?

I listened to Tripp the other day talk about Bobby ball and have read MANY posts about it on Egrizzly. I know what the answer will be from the club but what do the let's get real fans think ?

The Tripp convo was very interesting. Most of us see it play out with our own eyes and we wonder what the hell are they doing. Tripp confirming it was interesting. Bobby in his presser last week said he needs to do some intrinsic searching of himself and his role in these comebacks. Thought that was also good.

To me, Bobby ball means:

1. Truly complimentary football to all three 3 phases of football, bobby himself eludes to this often. Ideally for bobby I think is leaning on his defense and special teams to win games... having to lean on and totally rely on his offense to win games isnt his comfort zone.

2. An abundance of, and total commitment to, rotating every position almost 3 deep across the board (not all positions, obviously, but a lot, regardless of the game, moment, or circumstance, all done very deliberately to not only build depth, but condition all levels of the depth to perform in adverse situations.

3. Unless an opponent "pokes the bear" (sac st etc), its literally just win, baby. Margin of victory is an afterthought.

Bobby ball is (kind of) for sure a real thing.

Keeps us consistently on the right side of .500, dependent on having a talent advantage over our opponent, mixed results on the big stage.

No two halves are the same. Sometimes that’s a good thing, sometimes it’s not.

In the end, it will be discovered that I was watching the Griz playing Bobby Ball, just one too many times...a lengthy line on the Death Certificate will read, "Cause of Death: Cardiac Arrest. His heart just couldn't take it."

Comparing the Griz scores from the same opponents the cats played this season one wonders what an the hell is up with the Griz. We know at times the Griz have played liked Oregon and other times it appears we played like JV. That gives rise to the fact that either we are one hellva football team ,we are playing Bobby Ball or we are an imposter. I guess we will see next week if we are the real deal.
