2 weeks to go - playoff picture from the 2 conferences that matter

Nicks, I'm not certain that's accurate. Since it would be a circular tie, the next step would be to compare "common conference opponents". This is yet another one of those instances in which the bsc sucks, because those 3 teams haven't played all common opponents. And none of the 3 teams would have a loss against a team the other two beat. So the third tie break is Sagarin ratings.

Sooooo bsc. #bsc.
I think DoubleNicks is right. They go by head to head record between the teams. This is from 2014, which would be the same as the scenario described:

In the event of the three-way tie, the head-to-head criteria would again be used first. The automatic bid will be awarded to the team with the best record against the other tied teams, regardless if all have played each other.

If Northern Arizona, Montana State and Eastern Washington tie for first, Northern Arizona would win the tiebreaker based on its 1-0 record against the other schools as it beat Eastern Washington. Eastern Washington went 1-1 against NAU and MSU, while MSU was 0-1.
In this instance, Davis would in the tiebreaker.

I would like to see Idaho beat Sac this weekend. Sac has talent and I wouldn't want to play them again in the playoffs even in Missoula. It's difficult to beat the same team twice in the same season.

In my opinion a team that isn’t from the Big Sky or Missouri Valley shouldn’t be worthy of playoff consideration unless they go undefeated. The Big Sky and Missouri Valley are way ahead of the rest and realistically the only conferences that can win a championship.

Everyone keep in mind that’s SDSU might lose once more, then get their QB back and roll in to play of the top teams in week 2 of the playoffs. If they lose 2 times they might squeak in as a last team in and go to Bozeman or Missoula in round 2

Does this mean that Griz win the conference if they beat the Cats regardless of what happens in Portland?

Yes, even if Davis also beats the cats and finishes 7-1.

In that case, it would go by record against shared conference opponents in descending order, and since the Griz beat Idaho State, while Davis lost, and Davis didn't play Portland State, the Griz would win the autobid, although even if they had played PSU, they would still lose the autobid because ISU is higher in the standings than PSU.

Winning the conference and winning the AQ are different things. For example in BW's original scenario where UC Davis wins the AQ, all three are deemed conference co-champions.

But to your question, yes Griz would be at least be co-champs not necessarily the AQ because there's a scenario (although unlikely IMO) that Davis wins in Bozo and ties UM with 1 loss (assuming UM falls to PSU). So, no H2H to help determine anything. Next, it would go down the conference standings which could become a cluster f* as teams pile up around that 3 loss area (currently it's MSU, Sac, and then NAU, EWU, and ISU all tied with 3 losses).

There's a decent chance that SDSU with Mason back ruins a couple teams' seasons as a "spoiler".

So, based off current standings both would have beat MSU, both beat Sac, but Davis went 1-1 against the tied group while UM went 2-0...so, Griz would be the AQ based on current standings (which are likely to change).

Whoops. Actually, uofmman1122 is correct where they only compare COMMON opponents...unless the conference has changed their policy since then.

In my opinion, you are a moron.

the one consideration from the Playoff committee everyone is ignoring - Sac State WILL get snubbed if they are in consideration for a last in type bid.

Remarks like we deserve to be FBS, FCS is JV and the pandas will come back to haunt them.

or they have to play in missoula.

Harvard down 21-27 to Penn at half. At Harvard. Harvard scored TD at very end of half. Penn has a few losses this year, but is a pretty good team. The H QB id 18-26 for 186 and 1 TD. The Penn QB is 17-20 with 148 and 2 TD's.

South Carolina beating Texas AM 30-3 at AM at the very end of half. SC has 1 win this year, but had a few close games. 3 TO by Texas AM. AM has missed 2 FG's.

My son is going to Texas v. Georgia tonight, with our friends, including Happy Dicks, a former Georgia star. Greatest sports headline of all-time. https://inspire21.com/greatestheadlineinsports/

"To this day, Vince Dooley calls it his most memorable column ever – all because of the headline, which read:
DOGS TO PLAY COCKS WITH DICKS OUT

There’s no doubt about it, it was “the greatest headline in the history of sports journalism.”

Texas AM didn't convert on a 3d down in the first half. Announcers said the AM QB was probably having his worst game--ever.

Harvard came back to take lead over Penn. Penn just had long drive for FG. 43-42 Penn. 21 seconds left.

AM came back quickly in 3d Q on SC. AM had lead, was going in for score, and fumbled on a trick play at about the 5. SC is driving for winning score, with a few minutes left. SC went for it on 4th from about their 10 or 15 and picked up the FD. Need about 30 more yards for a FG kick.

Edit: Somehow Harvard got in position for FG and won.
