I remember when Cal Poly came to Missoula and handled the griz on a cold day in the playoffs as well.
The then Coastal coach Joe Moglia is a friend of mine. He was the DC at Dartmouth in the 80's, before he moved into business and became a Billionaire. He said his biggest win every was that game. A great win for Coastal.
That 21 point second quarter killed the Griz. Montana had a valiant comeback. If I remember right it was a one score game with around 5 mins left but Griz never got the ball back defense couldn’t get a stop when they needed it. Jordy threw for 4 td and almost 400 yards.
That bracket is interesting, but it doesn’t make a lot of sense as far as Montana is concerned. It shows Montana as being the automatic qualifier, which means that Montana would win the conference, yet has Montana as the third seed and Montana State as the second seed.
