Why does UM have so many clueless and unknowledgeable fans?

This is a very real serious concern hoops. So much so, you must change course NOW to save face, express publicly of your very serious panic and fear!! Its real! Panic and run!

They won’t deserve it but will make it anyway with a home game. Another question is should a 5 loss team that loses 5 in a row but beat the previously mentioned 4 loss team make it?

I'm not hoops but I will do my best to answer your question about the fake punt. The punt team has calls they can make based on what the opponents punt return team is showing. The Griz punt team made the call based on what EWU punt return team was showing.

I don't know on most of your questions, but I assume they wanted a first down and thought a pass was better than a run. And on the fake punt, I assume they assumed they would convert.

Why would UM go for it on 4th down early in the game (and pick it up) and not kick a FG? Why would UM then go for a 2-pt conversion early in the game?

Why does every play not work?

Why didn't this crew of refs know what defensive pass interference is? The refs making those calls were pathetic. Truly awful. Even my wife said the refs were horrible. As you know, when a wife, mother or grandmother comments on the game, they are always right and it helps prove the point being made by the guy who is posting.

I agree I'm sure they thought that would work however with the lead you had and the time left and having a running clock that would have been under 2 1/2 minutes to drive say 90 yards and no time outs left it would have been a lot more difficult. As it was it took them over 2 minutes to score so the onside kick would have come with 30 seconds or less.

Going on 4th down and short early in the game is a lot different than at the end with the lead we had IMO. And as far as the 2 point conversion it was still early in the game and our offense was having no problem moving the ball so I didn't see a problem their.

Your point that players (and coaches, and fans) make mistakes is well taken.

Should have punted, really. Shocked they didn't. This game reminded me too much of the onside kick at Eastern that Kaufamn recovered. I believe we lost that game. In the end, this was the ugliest of the ugliest wins. Griz are still 10-0 in the end. Had a lot of games like this 2023. Not exactly like this, but nail biters. Somehow winning these one's seems to build a stronger team, though.
