Defense

EWU didn't have their top 2 QBS,their #1 RB and their #1 WR/Kick returner/punt returner (who had ALL their kick and punt returns on the season) but others picked up the slack. Who else are we missing? I'm not saying you're wrong about that, but I think EWU was missing far-more important pieces than we were.
Except Loud is a lock down corner and there's no way in hell they pass for that much with him. He's a game changer, unlike EWUs guys that were missing.

Ya he was afraid to 470yrd in the sir
He had 2 passing TD's. He had 7.3 per attempt. UM had 8.3. He had 10.5 per completion. UM had 11.4. EWU scored only 20 points.

EWU had 92 plays. He had lots of chances, as he threw 63 times. He was sacked 8 times and hit a bunch more. He is a tough kid. His longest completion was 33 yards. UM kept the ball in front of them. EWU receivers caught the ball well and hung when clobbered. They also won more close balls/catches than UM did. Bobby mentioned that in his interview. The UM O didn't help the D at all in the 4th.

Feel free to find any other game, ever, where a team that 43-63 scored only 2 TD's, got only 20 points, and half a long of 33. I'll wait while you look.

UM won the game. He blew the last play.

Don't know why you can't see beyond 470 yards in 62 passes. I guess I'll just keep saying UM won the game and we're 10-0, even though you apparently can't understand that. Another never played the gamer, it looks like.

Great analysis of the game. 470 passing yards. Yes.... And what...? Does that mean EWU won the game? If Ah Yat had thrown 63 times, he would have had more than 525 yards.

Will Griz be able to go to man on both sides and bring more pressure on qb when Loud returns? Does anyone have an estimated return for Loud?

If anyone says our secondary played well today they are either football illiterate or a complete homer. We got absolutely diced up by a very inexperienced QB at the helm of a less than good team. I’m being very kind to EWU in that former statement btw.

Griz let EWU score about 2 points more than their average this season, and some Griz fans think the D has fallen apart. That's pretty funny.
I know I’ve said it before but you are a GREAT fan Hoops! Can’t take that away from you.
And I know the game and I'm right most of the time. So there. Note when I started the thread today saying third down efficiency, both ways, was killing the Griz.

I’m definitely not one saying our D fell apart but giving up the passes in the flat at the pace we did against this team is more than concerning can you not agree with that?

Teams are throwing for 15 yards all day against our secondary. We need some guys to return from injury, mainly Loud.

So what you are saying is the Griz were below average against the EWU offense.
By 2 points, but there was a new QB who was able to throw 63 passes because the O only got 3 first downs in the 3d Q and 0 first downs in the 4th Q. EWU scored 21 against Incarnate Word when they were ranked 4th. 14 against Boise State and No Iowa. 52 against Western Ill. 23 against Weber.

Are you trying to say that giving up 2 more points than EWU's season average is a big deal, even in a win by UM? Is that your level of football knowledge? As I keep saying, you really don't understand the game of football. You get some information on occasion and make some decent posts, but when push comes to shove, you show that you don't understand the game. That's okay.

No, what I am saying is allowing a team to be above average would mean that you were below average.

No, they weren't. EWU averaged 10 yards per completion and about 7 per attempt. That is not 15 yards all day. I think the 10 yards is way less the what the Griz given up per completion on average. Looking at the NCAA stats prior to this weekend, it looks like 50 teams average more than 12.33 yards per completion. You need some perspective. 6 Big Sky teams average in the top 41 (but not EWU).

EWU was only 4-7 in the red zone today. Not very good. Another positive for Griz D. Griz lead the conference in red zone D. But did anyone hear how much passing yardage the Griz D gave up?

This defense is good enough if Loud is out there and if the offense doesn’t shit the bed. Those are two big IF’s though
Sure, having Loud out there makes all the difference in the world (I think he's our best and most important defender on the team), but he hasn't been healthy and may not be healthy before the playoffs, and depending on when that is, it might be too late.

This team needs home field so bad in the playoffs, and right now I don't see us beating bozeman and earning it.

How?

Their QB dropped the ball, our defense didn't do that. The clock might have
Getting repeatedly popped and sacked 8 times and hit again, again, and again left him a little sore, black and blue and worried about who was going to pop him next and fumbles happen when the opposing QB is rightfully worried about his own safety, Genius. !!!
