College Gameday in Missoula for the Brawl

The Big Sky Conference is giving ESPN a "nudge" suggesting they should come to Missoula for the Brawl this year. Highly unlikely that Gameday would come to Missoula this year even with what should be a #2 vs #3 matchup. But at least the conference is trying to push it.

• #19 Missouri @ #11 Oklahoma
• #8 BYU @ #25 Cincinnati
• #20 USC @ #6 Oregon

Even if they pass on the 3 ranked games, I’m sure there’s always the option for them to go to Columbus, OH for the 30 something time.

Of those three games you mention, those teams have some tough upcoming games that could derail their chances:

• #19 Missouri @ #11 Oklahoma: Oklahoma plays at Alabama next week. I find it highly unlikely they're going to win that game, but if they do, then they'll definitely be the frontrunners to host Game Day on the 22nd.
• #8 BYU @ #25 Cincinnati: BYU plays at Texas Tech tomorrow for first place in the Big 12. If they lose, then I think that severely hurts Cincinnati's chances, especially after they got blown out by Utah last week. If BYU wins tomorrow, then this game could very well be for the Big 12 regular season title. In which case, Cinci has a great chance of hosting it.
• #20 USC @ #6 Oregon: Oregon has already hosted Game Day once this year against Indiana. Therefore, I think it's unlikely they go back. Especially since neither of these teams are really in the race for the Big Ten title.
• I also checked to see who Ohio State plays on the 22nd and they host Rutgers so that's not really all that enticing.

shouldn't they be promoting 'it's time to come to missoula' over 'it's time to come back'? the game isn't in bozeman, and the video of the obviously cold announcers wasn't inviting, no matter what the background.

What's in our favor that I see is that Missouri will lose to Texas A&M and Oklahoma falls to Alabama to take them off the map.

BYU has to get past Texas Tech this week and Cincinnati won't get into the CFP with two losses.

They have been to Oregon already this year and I don't see them going anywhere twice other than Ohio State and I believe USC is out of it even if both get by Iowa.

I'm not buying that Gameday would be in Missoula at this point, but as you said, at least the BSC is pushing for it!
