Eastern Washington Eagles scouting report

This game has all the precursors of a trap game. It also has the potential to be over at halftime!
Every opponent can be dangerous! Admittedly, some more than others. EWU falls in that latter category this year.
If the Griz play all 4 quarters this is a 4 to 5 score win! If they play only 3 quarters, then it's a 2 to 3 score win. Either way ...!

The Griz don't play 4 quarters.

That’s exactly what it was. He benefitted off of all of Baldwin’s recruits, and as soon as the well dried out, they went to shit. Now they’re stuck in this purgatory where they can’t get rid of him because the former AD gave him this sexy 5 year contract extension on her way out the door, and they can’t afford the buyout. I kinda feel bad for their current AD.

While Best is not close to the level of coach that Baldwin is there are more systemic issues at EWU than just the HC. EWU had a scandal a couple summers ago and was forced to shut down thier high school camps. Those camps both funded an assistant coach and helped get them a lot of NW recruits. The school itself is also in a financial world of hurt in terms of enrollment and state funding. The academic side of campus has been pushing to drop football entirely or to a D2 level. Overall, EWU is not in a good position and the football program is not profitable unlike UM and MSU. It's a tough place to win these days, definately a have not of the Big Sky Conference.

No way Bobby puts up 57 (or even 48) on the Beagles. He calls off the dogs way before that. (Unless the Beags can't stop our 2's and 3's either).

I'd guess 42-10, or 38-13...something like that...in a game that (once again) won't be nearly as close as the score appears.

Side note: IMHO, Best is the worst coach in the BSC. He's literally done NOTHING with the Cadillac left him by Baldwin. I have zero fear of losing to a Best-coached team.

It is strange his offenses were electric when he was the OC under Beau Baldwin. Best offensive teams I have ever seen in person from the Big Sky but once he took over as head coach it all fell apart now they are a shell of their former self.

He wasn't really the OC, Baldwin was.
 
I just want to apologize up front here...I messed up my weekly outfits and wore the incorrect Griz shirt today. I do have my correct socks on, so hopefully it is the socks and not the shirt that's the luck charm thus far, but dammit I almost turned back to go change.
 
Only thing the griz have to worry about is cheap play from a desperate team who have nothing to play for. The griz have EVERYTHING to play for and can't get caught up in the extra garbage stuff eastern will bring to the table. Coming out of this one healthy will be an even bigger win than beating them by about 30+ which you'll do as well
