Griz vs Cats Strength of Schedule through Week 9

Don’t let any of your Cats buddies try to claim they have a much stronger SOS than the Griz. Quite literally the ONLY reason their SOS is high at all is due to one game….Oregon. If you look at just the FCS match ups, the Griz actually have a better SOS:

Cats:

SDSU - 98
San Diego - 201
Mercyhurst - 236
E wash - 185
NAU - 150
Idaho St - 180
Cal Poly - 190
UNC - 200
Total - 1440/8 =-180 avg

Griz:

UND - 87
Indy St - 186
Idaho - 139
Idaho St - 180
Cal Poly - 190
Sacred Heart - 210
Sac St - 132
Weber St - 191
Total - 1315/8 =-164.3

There are a lot of Cats fans very confused on this. Image that 😂
our bub neighbors may need a better visual...

180 >👀🟢==> 164.3. 🐊

The little alligator always helped my 3rd grader understand which of the two numbers is the bigger number. It took us a few days, but I'm sure the kitties can figure it out by January. Or reach out... I'm always here to help

I think it's the opposite: They're discounting the GRIZ because of their "soft" schedule. To be frank, the cats have not beaten anyone. What's their best win? Idaho state?
Maybe. Then it will be Davis.

My point is it’s silly. I’ll make the EXACT argument I did last season when people were harping on the Cats soft schedule. Just like they’ll do next season cause our schedule is easy then too. They acted like the Cats were ONLY good because of that schedule. I pointed out that you can’t control your schedule, and the Cats were actually just a really good football team.

I do the same with the Griz. I don’t think you’ve really played anyone this year either. But I wouldn’t suggest you guys are ONLY undefeated because of the schedule. I think you’re a good team, regardless of your schedule that was practically completed a couple years ago.

But yes, you could maybe make a case ISU was our best win. At the time we played NAU it was them. Things evolve during the season. In two weeks it will be Davis. And if there is truly a higher power, that believes in purity and good versus evil, in 3 weeks our best win will be Montana.

The Griz played and beat UND this season. They are “somebody”, were in the top 10, and now about top 15. In top 2 in MV conference. We shall see if Cats beat Davis. Cats have not beaten anyone as good as UND nor Davis. I am not arguing Griz are better than Cats based on this. Just asserting the facts. I don’t know why some Cats, and you in this instance, can’t admit facts. Some of you Cats do this every year. Thats why I like to tease and taunt. Edited my goof ups.

Central Washington is rolling teams. We are their only loss. They were #7 in D2 heading into this weekend and won yesterday over the #16 D2 squad. They were for sure better than Indiana state, who just beat South Dakota state 😆. Central Washington has good football team. Just because they’re D2 does t mean squat. Tarleton was also D2 just a couple years ago, Ferris is D2 and would be top 15 in the FCS if they moved up today. Anybody watch any of their games this year? 🤯 Ferris once again has some dudes who will be getting some looks by FBS programs. Hell their qb that came to Missoula is the starter now at fucking Ol Miss
You are absolutely right. They are a damn good football team at the D2 level. Other than the Griz game, they have outscored opponents 387 to 127. Including a 58-7 win and hanging 91 points on Western New Mexico. They have put up 40 or more points in half their games.

I am pretty sure they would be more competitive in the Big Sky than Portland State, at this point.

#11 UCD and #13 UND today. I think you need an adjustment

55-0 Cats, with drive starting with 9 minutes left in game:

"1st and 10 at UNC29 - No Huddle-Shotgun Jones,Adam rush middle for 7 yards gain to the UNC22 (Smedley,KJ)."

I had to look this up to believe it.
Maybe you shouldn’t believe what you read and maybe watch the game then. The last play that Lamson or Jones were in on was the TD on the first play of the 4th quarter when Lamson scored a rushing TD to make the score 41-0. Next score was an interception return by Talon Marsh and then the last score was a run by Jared White to make it 55-0.

Maybe you should look at the play-by-play on the Bobcat website. Maybe the score got to 55-0 on that drive. See below. You are wrong, according to the play-by-play. Either get the play-by-play corrected, or apologize. You can't read apparently. See below.

I’m not responsible for what was written but that carry was by Colson Coon. Watch the game or don’t comment on it like you actually know something.

Why would I watch any game, let alone a Cat game, when the score is about, or about to be, 55-0? Get your play-by-play right, or get out of here. Your comment is stupid. Watch the game, ya right.

Yes, you are a Cat fan. You are responsible for Cat stats on the Cat official website. Get to work.

I know you have a hard time with honesty so your disingenuous nature is expected. Don’t comment on a game upon which you are clearly uninformed. You are the one who made the untrue statement and are now trying to deflect.

So’s pumping up a mediocre SOS with one money game. But hey, you do you. Same program that has their starting QB in up 48-0 and their starting RB taking carries up 55-0

Whatever floats your boat.

Lamson's last play was the first play of the 4th quarter. Score was 34-0 until he ran it in for a TD to make the score 41-0. Jones didn't play in the 4th Q at all and Julius Davis was in on that play that Lamson scored but did not come back in again. Was Duchien, Colson Coon, and Jared White from that point on, on offense.

Luckily, it only takes about 2 minutes to find that play on ESPN+. Adam Jones wasn't in. Colson Coon was the RB on that 1st and 10.

A for effort though.
