For those who wonder about College Game Day Selection...

I get tired of the "story" aspect. They look at the SEC or Ohio State and go from there. They could choose a different location every week and it would be better than how they currently do it. Even when they choose an FCS location, they spend 5 minutes at the beginning and 2 minutes at the end to pick the game. The rest of the time they talk about everything that has been talked about all week

I would be shocked if Gameday returned to Montana. Our cross state rivalry game would be a better draw if it was in October when the weather was decent, but no one is going to return to Montana in late November for another episode of football in popsicleville.

Fairly reliable weather forecasting these days a week out to see if the weather is conducive to hosting or not. They don’t make a final decision for the location until Saturday or Sunday prior. No more Corso to worry about And they’ve been to butt cold Fargo twice in November.

Look, 53% of college football fans don't care about the fcs; 45% just think it's DII. 2% (and here I'm being generous) are interested. Of course ESPN isn't going to spend 3 hours talking about it.

If we want Gameday or any other major outlet to talk about the GRIZ, we cannot stay fcs.

Another damn move up thread?

This argument is fair, but I’d also add that we’re getting to a point where nobody really gives a shit about the G5 anymore either. I went back and looked at last year and only once did Game Day go to a G5 school. And they have yet to go to a G5 school this year. Would more casual Football fans be interested in the Griz if we moved up to G5? I suppose some would, but let’s be real. With where College Football is today, if you’re not in the P4, you’re not gonna get much national or even regional publicity.

Sad but true. They might, but only might, go to a site where a G5 team could be making a serious run to get into their little playoff. Maybe after a couple more wins from right now. Otherwise, no story.

So much so that it is actually G6 now.

F COLLEGE GAME DAY!!! ESPN totally lost my interest when they snubbed UM and then went to Bozo.
Lee Corso was the only thing that kept the show interesting, but nature has taken its toll.

I get that Everett. That doesn't mean the show can't highlight that program or game more. They are going to have the audience regardless. For example, I was on vacation in the Southeast and was wearing a Griz shirt. A man came up to me and asked if that was a Montana Shirt. I said it was, and he said he remembered watching the Griz/NDSU Week 0 game. He was flipping the channels and found the game and thought what an amazing stadium and atmosphere. That is the effect they can have.

I'm over the idea of ESPN gameday coming to Missoula. Think I would rather have Fox Saturday morning kickoff show up.
Big Noon sucks. Its the Temu version of College Gameday. Gameday, however, has been setting viewer records funny enough, so they must be doing something right. It's definitely not a show geared toward boomers, as it shouldn't be. Also, Big Noon only goes to B1G and Big12 games, so Montana or any FCS school will never be on their radar.

Gameday has gone stale for me. Predictable and not original. For those who still watch that’s great It’s just not for me.
I stopped watching when Lee Corso retired. The only reason I watched it was for the Mascot head. Other than that it's stupid and McAfee is annoyingly obnoxious.
