Clif McDowell to the Dresden Monarchs

I hadn't known this or seen it posted, but it looks like Big Clif is keeping the dream alive and has signed with the Dresden Monarchs in Germany. It seems like they play in the spring and early summer over there, so it must be an early signing for next year. Last year they carried an undefeated record through June and are apparently strong in their League.

Side note, if anyone wants a great read, check out "Playing for Pizza" by John Grisham. Great novel about a QB going over to play in Italian league football.

Playing for Pizza is a great book. I actually have had all of my kids read it when they are required to do it for school. They all reluctantly succumb to the pressure and then tell me that "That was actually a great book dad" hahaha

Absolutely. Great book for any football fan, and any folks who are Italy-philes. (I don't know the right word there). It is part sports book, part redemption story about what matters in love, and also just a love letter to Italy. I gave it to my future MIL for Christmas last year and she absolutely loved it.
