#1 NDSU and the rest of the FCS

You are the rookie. I have played the game at a high level in college and have been posting on the Griz message boards for 30 years. Everything of note that I say about football is correct or largely correct (except maybe for some taunting), and much of it comes from coaches, players, former players, player-parents and good poster-friends. The people who know squat are actually the bigmouth trolls like yourself. Almost nothing you post is correct. You are a bunch of hot air. If you don't settle down, I will hound you and you will leave crying. I'm happy to compare awards won in sports, success in sports, and hall of fame. What you got Fat Boy?
Listen rookie, your takes on football are as slow as honey on ice. I also doubt you played at a high level. You're a liar, Real former players don't brag like that. Posting for 30 years on a message board is really really sad.

Read the Harvard-Dartmouth article I posted in its own thread and see my quote. Almost everyone on egriz knows where I played. It isn't bragging. It's just stating a fact. You obviously never played the game, or you wouldn't be saying much of what you are.

Let's bet $500 on whether I played at a high level in college, like top 20 D1 team, and was all-conference. Put up or shut up.

Posting as much as you do on another team's message board is what is sad. Some of us like following and supporting our team and have for decades. Nothing sad about that all. You really are stupid, aren't you?

It’s debatable whether the Ivy League is high level football it isn’t the Big Sky or Missouri Valley.
Winning the Lambert Trophy ahead of Penn St is a high level of football. The year we won, Penn St's running backs were Franco Harris and Lydell Mitchell. The next year we were second behind Penn St for the Lambert.

I take nothing away from your and Dartmouth’s accomplishments. (And I was a huge fan of Franco Harris and Lydell Mitchell playing for the Steelers and Colts.) But today’s college football world is little like it was when you played, and the comparisons don’t hold up very well.

We beat you in your house when we were a DII school.

How many rings do you guys have in the last 5 years?

Another stark difference between our programs is that most of your fan base is probably dead since the last time you were relevant in football.

Our fan base just gets larger and larger every year! NDSU fans that are 5 years old have experienced more national championships than your program has won in your history.

That more than balances out a couple of meaningless losses in the regular season
Ironic how accurate your statement is here.

True, but has any of that made the FCS better? I suppose you could argue there have been multiple dynasties in FCS and FBS over the years. For one reason or another, one team had advantages and put them to work in their favor. Hats off to NDSU and the program they built. The rest of the teams haven’t been able to step up the plate and knock one out of the park. (Outside of SDSU and they may rebound, but I doubt it) If any school has the potential it is Montana. MSU will lose their coach soon from the sounds of it. U of M has a stable coach, history, booster support and facilities. They also play in an easier conference. Can Bobby get it done over the next few years? I think he can.

What comparisons are you talking about? The main point was that our team played a high level of football. That’s absolutely true.

Our teams played at a higher level than the MV or Big Sky teams have or ever will.

Baseball has changed too. I assume you don’t think Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle didn’t play at a high level.

I would be happy to discuss what has changed and what hasn’t too. But that is a different topic.

Is Harvard’s being ranked in top 15 or so high level? How many Rose Bowls have the MV and BS played in? How many MV and BS stadiums are nicer and bigger than Harvard and Yale? How many US presidents have the MV and BS produced?

The main difference between the Grizz and the rest of the FCS schools is this.

You guys eat sleep and pray you can beat the Bison.

NDSU focuses on winning championships. Everything else is in the rear view mirror.

We are everyone's superbowl

We actually stick our fingers in our ears and yell “I can’t hear you!” whenever NDSU is brought up.

This guy can troll all he wants as far as I'm concerned.

We owe the Bison an enormous debt of gratitude. These guys have singlehandedly caused the Bobcats so much grief over the last decade.. that's worth it's weight in gold. Enemy of my enemy situation

Look at all the insults.

Not one comment on the mediocre state of Big Fluffy football.

That is very telling. You guys know I am right but lash out anyway..

The first step is admitting you are wrong and asking for forgiveness

Geez, Hoops....some of those presidents may have come out of the IVYs while Montana and North Dakota were still "Territories" methinks!

What I know is when it comes to football players from Bozeman High School you can give the guys who went to UM like Brock Coyle a pass but everyone else has not gone to play high level football,
