Aquino and Thompson are going to be key players this season. They both shoot and play defense well. 3 3s for each so far. Perimeter defense and offensive continuity is solid for this early. Refs calling nit picky things.

Henderson is so quick on defense.
Hicks is a stud athlete. Dick playing solid.
Isaak reminds me of Kai Johnson on his drives and defense. These guys push the ball quickly.

Aquino is a combination of Mathias Ward and Strait. Plays bigger than his height, moves of Strait and range of Ward. Might be a better rebounder than them.

Aquino and Thompson may compete for Big Sky Freshman of the year. Both were very impressive Isaak is a solid player. Betts didnt play. Sawyer and Money look in great shape. Hicks is going to be great.. super competitive and gets every loose ball. Henderson looked good. Jenkins and Anderson played limited minutes. Griz fans should be excited and get their asses in the stands!

Thompson's 2nd half dunk was sweet!
The only concern I have is inside defensive presence. Our guards can rebound though.

Also to note: Money has really focused on taking care of the ball. I think, he had no forced passes or tried doing too much with the ball. He actually finished plays easier with each hand as well.
Can't wait for everyone to see Thompson and Aguino. They're special freshman.

They are exceptional.
Forgot to mention the impressive outing by Conner Dick. He played a lot of minutes (no doubt more in this single game than the total for all the time he has been a Griz). He scored, he rebounded with tenacity, and hustled his butt off on D. His parents and siblings sat near us and were really excited.

Agreed with everything you said. I think our upside is unlimited to be honest. Connor Dick played great too. He said the 13th guy on this team could play and we wouldn't lose much. Athletic and savvy top to bottom.
The sad thing for me is that we have the same PA announcer as last year. He is a screamer and it's difficult to understand what he is screaming. I wish Denny Bedard would do the men(again) as well as the Ladies.

Maybe he is trying to hard to be like Fat Dad from back in the 70's and early 80's. Fat Dad really knew how to incite crowd until the Big Sky Conference told him to tone it down around 1982.
