Because the venue and the university are both obviously illequipped to provide the adequate level of security required for such an event.

Any time that there is a large event of several hundred people or more, security needs to be tightened in the US given the fact we are away in guns, especially semiautomatic weapons.
I have never even been to Sacramento--spent all of my time in Calif. in San Diego, Camp Pendleton, the huge Marine base between San Diego, and LA, and LA itself.
But what I do know working as a counselor at the youth service's center in Billings is we have a lot of teenage kids 13-17, mainly boys, that are in custody and were arrested in possession of a semiautomatic pistol with a 15 round magazine that they either had access to at home or they stole, typically out of a car or house/apartment and these stolen firearms are often trafficked through social media.
And all's it takes for a mass shooting is some knuckle head or heads, especially if rival gangs are involved, to be carrying such a concealed weapon, and then all is needed is a spark, an insult, trash talk
, especially combined with alcohol and/or dope, and you have the recipe for a disaster !!!

The most astounding part of the video of the brawl is how many people are just standing around watching. All it would take would have been one of the knuckleheads to pull a glock and start randomly firing for there to be a tragedy there. How this President still has a job shows how JV Sac St. is. Can you imagine a white college President saying he wants to "eliminate blackness". It's unthink-able but his words are somehow acceptable? I expect a post-game shiy-show no matter the outcome. He has loaded a powder keg.
We’ve tailgated for years there since we play them annually in the causeway, sort of like your brawl game. We always set up in lot 9. Best to stay away from the drunks near the slak tailgate. Get there real early. The traffic near the stadium is terrible.
I saw in one of those articles that Wood cut the concert short because of the brawl and that no one involved in that brawl was a student. So hopefully they banned the people that were involved in that and the riff raff won't show up this weekend.

IMO putting on concerts like this is a recipe for disaster.

Unbelievable he hasn't been fired yet. As you said, flip the races here, and white guy is fired literally on the spot. Let's have a level playing field here in America please.
Anyway, good luck at Sac State. Home of the least JV team in the FCS. Hopefully nobody gets stabbed, robbed, trampled, accidentally impaled, not too many small kids are lost in the mayhem etc.
I would catch this one on ESPN+ personally. I am a risk-averse person though, never wanted to climb into a squirrel suit or hang-glide either.

Our schools always used to have a lot of respect for each other, I felt, back in Coach Hauck's first time around. It's kind of sick that it has come to this. Thanks for coming in and sharing a fair assessment of what's going on.
I didn't feel like it was an accident that the target of this is what is perceived as the whitest it gets in the Big Sky.
