Questions for the GFP this week

Recording tonight! Based on the GFP text thread there'll be some differing opinions on if we should be down in the dumps or fairly positive about this win. Get at us with questions or comments here
 
James, now that the Yanks have been bounced, who are you rooting for to win the World Series (hint: I think Brint would agree with me that there’s still room on the Mariner Trident Express).

What’s the best beer not brewed in America (excluding Guinness, ‘cause….)?

At the halfway point, the race for the coveted Big Sky Fraud Team of the Year Award (BSFTOTYA) is hotly contested by a number of programs. Who’s your choice so far: nau, idaho, isu, etc)?

Best beer brewed outside the US is TUI, from north island New Zealand... and its not particularly close
 
How do we get consistently better O-Line play? Are all these d-lines just great? Poor recruiting? Poor fundamentals? Poor scheme/coaching? Why is our O-Line so mediocre?
 
A couple thoughts:

1. Go Ms now that the cubbies are eliminated.
2. Lawlers emergence, and how good our defense will be once loud returns. Lawler has played exceptionally well in the past several weeks, especially since louds injury. Having both play at a high level significantly changes our defense.
3. Discuss offensive struggles in the first half and some of the first half of last week. Bobby mentioned ISU taking away our "base stuff" in run and pass game. Obviously CPU did as well. Is our "base stuff" too predictable and simple? They are multiple in their formations etc, but yesterday we failed on 3rd & short several times in the first half, and several were simple quick slants and inside run schemes.
4. Bobby again mentioned his disdain for analytics in his post game presser. Is he doing so to continue to throw shade at Idaho for their insistence on using analytics?

Need more mixing with Freitas and Amick on the right. Run more to the left, this is the stronger of the sides. Insert tight ends on the right more? IMHO.

The offense really needs to call a few more misdirection plays. The GRIZ very seldom go with anything but 1 direction plays. They finally ran a handful of misdirection plays against Poly and they were pretty successful. Also, more motion plays would help read the defensive schemes.
 
Several 12 men on the field penalties...player error or late calls by defensive coach(es)?
Is Bobby's head set alright after he threw it on the ground after the third 12 men on the field penalty?
The Griz have the horses for mutliple jet sweeps in a game...why not use these...especially on a 4th and 1 and all of Cal Poly was in the box loading it up.
 
New spin for our podcasters.
1 player each from our opponents offense and defense, that would help the GRIZ most, if the GRIZ could get them?
 
One of my good friends and UM alumna observed that Bobby should be able to fit a stack of quarters up his “enormous nostrils.” Question: do you take the over or under on 2 quarters on each side? Follow up: what is the max number you think he could fit up there? Inquiring minds would like to know.
 
Not a question, more of an observation. I love how the coaching staff is setting up these improbable 2nd half deficits to test the metal of our team so when it really matters come playoff time, we know we can win these games.
 
Haley dropped the Griz after that performance. Given the inconsistencies, do you really feel that the Griz are still one of the top 4 in the nation given what the Cats did to ISU and the Dakota St teams continue to roll?
 
With half of the regular season over, are we exceeding or meeting expectations? What are expectations for the next half of the regular season? How probable is it that the team goes undefeated? If the Griz go undefeated, will Brint commit to taking a dip in the Clark Fork?

Here's my short list of quite good international beers:

Sapporo
Jubel
Salvatore
Pilsner Urquell
 
The spots by the refs were awful all game, on both sides, but did you hear when Peter Christian said, "that's a terrible spot"? That man is a legend

Not sure what others thought, but did it seem like this was one of the better Homecoming crowds?
