They probably say the same thing about "y'all" but I wouldn't trust anyone from Cali putting on that front either. There are a lot of good people in Texas and most of them are proud and don't want to leave the lone star. As for me, I can't wait to retire and get back home to Montana where I belong.

I'm not gonna trust the label. jk We went wrong when we wanted Montana on the map so bad that we couldn't stop talking about how great Montana is. Then we expected people to just visit and make note but not move there? We were stupid and delusional. We should've listened to our parents/grandparents/great-grandparents/great-great grandparents, who knew a good thing when they had it, and kept our mouths shut.

BTW, my dad's from Texas and loved everything Texas (Cowboys, Longhorns, Lone Star Beer, Texas BBQ) but he never went back to Texas, even after he retired.

It also didn't help losing all those hard winters in the 70's where we've seen snow like that only a hand full of times since. The new kids in school in September left desks as empty as the U-Haul lots right after spring break up and then there were another bunch of one year exchange students the next year. Rinse, snow, repeat!
With the Texans here, when they make fun of my NW Montana broken Canadian nasal tone and find out where I'm from, they tell me they heard it's beautiful and would love to visit, but then quickly add in "It's cold there, isn't it." By their definition, 60 is "FREEZING" and I can count on one hand the number of times I have taken a coat out of the closet, and that would include since the first time I came to my in-laws for Christmas.
