To everyone saying the Griz are living in the past with the party like it’s 1995 theme

Is it more embarrassing to have 1984 all over your stadium as your only D1 championship or the fact that the 1984 team wasn’t even that good? They went 1-10 in 1983 but 1984 brought new strength and conditioning coach Rock Gullickson who pumped the team with PEDs? The bub evolution from MSPED to MSDUI.

PED's? I have never heard that before and didn't realize anyone outside of eastern block athletes were using them in 1984. Of course they weren't tested in the NCAA, so were they illegal, I don't think there was a banned substance list at that time. And what is the proof they were on them aside from this glorious revelation regarding the strength coach?

While we're at it, who has said anything about living in the past? It's home coming and that is the theme to go along with another norm, celebrating the anniversary of a championship. The University told us at the beginning of the year the season would include several celebrations of the championship, so we can expect more on HoF weekend too, brace yourselves, haters of the past, if you do exist.

I'm not advocating anything that goes on in Bozeman, but I think it is pretty normal to display recognitions of a championship. I remember that season pretty well, they were a pretty good team that won the title in Charleston, SC. The Griz/cat game was in Missoula so my roommate and I hit the road to South Dakota and were surprised to learn the Griz didn't lose as bad as we thought they would, only 34-24. If they need to take it down over there, what is the time limit we have to take down all signs of our 1995 and 2001 wins?

I noticed there was a reference to the ISU title in 1981, as well as their conference championships going back into the 50's on the wall, but there was no problem with that. I'm sure Boise State still has something claiming their 1980 title.

Are you doing a new schtick where you try to be outrageous and aggressive about the Cats? Or just a bender for a couple of days? lol

Next year Bobcats theme for their homecoming will be “Party Like it’s 1984” because that’s what they do. Cannot come up with anything original on their own. They truly are little brother.

Many were on PEDs. My source is that a number of them told me they were. It’s not some big secret.

I just think it is kind of embarrassing for the Cats that their only D1 championship was 40 years ago and it was probably because at the time in 1984 they were the only team in the Big Sky Conference where the majority of the players were on steroids.

Is this verifiable or just another wild ass guess?

If you talk to anyone involved with the 1984 Bobcats they will tell you that PEDs were a huge part of that team it is no secret. As far as PEDs not being a huge part of any of the other Big Sky teams that is a reasonable guess based on the fact that none of the other Big Sky teams even had an organized strength and conditioning program with a strength and conditioning coach in 1984.
