Next years team could be really good if….Wortham comes back as a graduate student, Eli doesn’t go into the portal, which is likely, and Ah Yat at QB. Also the other sophomores who have seen a lot of playing time this year. Another year in the weight room could add some strength.

With the new landscape of college sports, there is zero reason to speculate about next season because things will change so drastically year to year.
Can we get through this season first?

Yeah, I would bet a paycheck that Gillman isn't at Montana after January. I strongly doubt Wortham will be either. Both have made strong cases for FBS offers, and frankly, landing at the right school could make a career for one of them. However, if I were them, and I'm not, I would stay at Montana and take another shot at the Payton next year. I don't believe either will win this year. We are talking about them, but the people who vote? Their eyes are on guys that play for lesser programs that are putting up video game numbers.
