You’re questioning our QB??Talent and coaching.
You don't have the DBs or LBs to cover anything more than 3 offensive players on any given play.
The same way your coaching staff can't find a serviceable QB they just don't recruit the talent you used to get.
It's obvious on the field
No, I objected only at your potshot(s) aimed at me. I usually don't have a narrative and didn't on this subject. You are the one with the narrative. You couldn't accept this line on stats. "Griz D is 2d in conference in defensive pass efficiency. Has given up 51.5% in pass completions. Is tied for conf lead in interceptions with 5." You had to point out how many passing yards the Griz gave up in the one game. I provided stats for the season. Passing efficiency is a meaningful stat. I think you just wanted to criticize th D or the pass D. That's narrative. Below is the definition.Just my observations at the game. Sorry they don't fit your narrative. I'll try to adjust.
Our QB is 8th in the nation in passing yardage? He's the leader in QB's with only 5 games. Where's your QB? Don't see him listed.Talent and coaching.

I was at the game and constantly nervous when ISU had the ball. They beat our rush and won most of the 50/50 balls. Our salvation was that ISU could not run the ball against us.No, I objected only at your potshot(s) aimed at me. I usually don't have a narrative and didn't on this subject. "Defensive passing efficiency (DPE) in American football measures how well a defense prevents the opposing offense from completing passes, expressed as the average yards allowed per pass attempt or per possession. It assesses the collective performance of a defense by considering factors such as pass completion percentage, passing yards allowed, and the number of interceptions and sacks. A lower DPE indicates a more effective pass defense, where the defense is successful at limiting the offense's aerial gains."
No big deal. I know you're a has-been like me. Ha.
I watched the game closely and talked to some of the coaches. Fine with being nervous. But ISU couldn't run against UM because UM made sure they couldn't do that. So, there was nothing lucky about that. The ISU QB passed very well in the first half and Griz D didn't defend the pass well. Loud was missed. The defense was adjusted during the game, personnel in the secondary was changed, and Wing came back in the second half. The Griz also improved their pass rush and put much more pressure on the QB in the second half. The QB didn't react well to that and his passing accuracy fell apart. From where I was, and what I knew going into the game, it was clear why he wasn't passing as well. In fact, at times in the second half he was bad. Again, fine to be nervous. But my view is that doesn't need to result in dissing of pass D (in the 2d half), nor ignoring the UM D's pass efficiency for the season. Everybody knew the ISU QB had passed for alot of yards, but I doubt that anyone knew the pass D stats that I provided.I was at the game and constantly nervous when ISU had the ball. Nailed it. Everyone is asking whats wrong w the defense and why didn't they do this or that... that qb flat did not miss a pass the first 2 1/2 qtrs of the game. He did the same thing to unlv, and quite honestly, new Mexico. We got wing back, we finally got a few shots on cooke, and eventually we saw why he is at Idaho state and not some power 5.Against FBS UNLV they put up 395 passing yards, and had 30 first downs.
If you listen to Hawkins' press conference before the game, their QB has had some mental obstacles this year, but has dialed it in. Their offense is this dangerous, and they will keep giving every team fits when they show up in Pocatello.
Really interested to see how the MSU defense matches up against Cooke and the ISU offense. MSU's secondary is filled with freshmen and sophomores.....they are fast and athletic, but they aren't very big and are still figuring out the learning curve of playing college football.Nailed it. Keep popping back in every week to tell us that we will lose because it isn't D2, and then we win. It has really been a highlight of the season for me. Thank you.Talent and coaching.

Your defense is a much better fit to stop them schematically, and ISU will be coming to your place. I will be interested and watching, too, but I think the Cats probably have a more comfortable game against them and win going away.Really interested to see how the MSU defense matches up against Cooke and the ISU offense. I think if they mix up zone coverage and get any pressure on Cooke they should do just fine.Really interested to see how the MSU defense matches up against Cooke and the ISU offense.
