Fife...

Good for Fife. He got a bit of a raw deal I'm glad he's having success elsewhere. That said KAY seems to have rewarded the coaching staff for their faith in him.
I wish him well but I'm struggling to see why you think he got a raw deal. Seems like both he and Ah Yat both were given a chance and neither really was dominating enough to grab the QB1 moniker. Ah Yet seems to have really built on that experience and this year looks great...

Fife was clearly the better QB last year but he had to keep looking over his shoulder at the freshman every week and the 2QB system was really messing with his confidence. He didn't transfer to Montana to split reps. Fife threw for 350+ yards against EWU and Weber back to back and that still wasn't enough to keep him on the field. I would be pretty pissed off too and that finally boiled over in the Portland State game. Like I said though it seems to have worked out for everyone involved.

Maybe I'm overthinking it, but you wish he were in Missoula under what circumstances exactly? I guess if Fife could have been more humble and made up with Bobby he might have been able to stick it out another year but I'm not sure that would have been workable at all. I'm not really disagreeing with you that it would be nice to have a more known quantity at backup QB, at the same time however, after what we saw on the field between him and Bobby, I don't think Fife would have worked out in the long run anyway.

I guess that's a long way of saying that their personalities were oil and water and Fife is just not the right kind of guy to play under Bobby. It would be great to have somebody with Fife's experience backing up KAY though, just not him particularly.
Well, yes. To be more clear, what happened on the field made any reconciliation almost impossible. I guess what I'm really saying is I wish we had a known quantity as backup QB.

i find it interesting to hear how he is doing. it only takes a minute to read, and is definitely griz-related.
Not sure it is Griz related since he is no longer a Griz. I’m sure there is more to the story that the general public is not privy too.
Let’s just wish Logan well and move on. At this point in the season we have a very capable signal caller. Let’s concentrate on the hear and now.

Maybe but I doubt it is positive.
After his little tantrum on the field…good riddance. Everybody knew he was not for long on the team, and his QB play throughout the season sealed his fate.
Have you ever seen a player act like that?!?

He also went to NMSU.

2024 (Senior)
Appeared in and started all 12 games in his lone season with the Aggies… Finished the year with 35 total tackles, including 19 solo tackles… Ranked second on the team in sacks with 4.0… All four sacks came in came in the Aggies’ overtime win against LA Tech on Oct. 15… His four-sack game was tied for the most sacks by an individual in a single game at the FBS level during the 2024 season… His sack total against LA Tech combined with a career-high seven total tackles propelled him to earn CUSA Defensive Player of the Week honors… Had five or more tackles in four games… Logged five solo tackles, including one tackle for loss, and two quarterback hurries against Sam Houston on Sept. 21… Posted three tackles and one tackle for loss against FIU on Oct. 29.
You are right. I completely goofed up the name. And was off by a year. Batting .000. Thx.

The Griz have the better QB. Period.

I hope these updates go the way of People magazine, which I hear is selling very well in Las Cruces.

Scottre Humphrey, the former Cat, is 47-263/3 for New Mexico. He's their leading rusher. Was 18-141 against Idaho St.

Fife, for New Mexico ST, is. 98-172 passing (57%) and 45 for 2 yards rushing. 6 passing TD's and 4 picks. Their 3 homes games have averaged about 10,000 in attendance.

I don't see Henry Nuce on the New Mexico St football roster. I thought he transferred there.

Racanelli has 1 reception in 4 games at Wake Forest. 11th leading receiver.

Jackson has 1 tackle in 2 games for Ohio University.

I understand Fife leaving, and Wilson had good talent, but why do these other guys do such stupid things?
I assume Racanelli is on scholarship and a graduate degree from Wake Forest is no small thing. I don’t think he has ties to Montana, so it could make a lot of sense for him.

hey, i tell you what - you do what you want, and i'll do what i want, which includes enjoying this thread with updates about guys who played for the griz last year. to me, and i suspect others, it is griz related. plus, i'm amazing, i can pay attention to the current team, and support them in my own way, and still have enough time left to find the 'transfer guys' topic interesting.

it is weird to read posts that consist of a guy telling many others what they should focus on, post on, etc...
