Has the potential to be a very competitive game.

I just hope E. Washington never ever fires their coach. Their Coach Best is the best.
You're right. It really could be a very high scoring, crazy game. I always cheer for PSU, because Coach Barnum is such a great guy. If he ever loses his job, Bobby should bring him on immediately. Coach Best peaked a number of years ago. They're just awful.

the top 3 could all get beat and the scats could fall in the skydome of those 4 scenarios I think scats falling is most likely tho.
SDSU and NDSU play each other in October so one of them WILL have a loss fairly soon. Tarleton hasn't done much other than beating a really bad army team. But the remainder of their schedule is pretty easy so they could likely be undefeated at the end of the season. They do have a few ranked teams on their schedule so it's possible that an upset could happen but probably not likely.

IMO There are 4 ranked game matchups and 5 other possible upsets. Its put up or shut up time for (all are at Home vs higher ranked team)...
#6Illinois State (3-1),
#13Northern Arizona (4-1),
#22Austin Peay (3-2) &
#24Youngstown State (3-1)
The other 5 poss upsets are ranked teams on the road at .500 or better teams

I would be ecstatic with a blowout, but it’s always a weird game when we go to Pokey. Holt has some demons that need to be exercised. Hope this team is as focused as they have been the last several.

Have you noticed that lately the NAU games versus Montana teams are early in the season, before Griz and Bobcat snowbirds head south? That way the Walkup Skydome isn't packed with visiting team fans... Just sayin'
(This year the Lumberjacks don't even play us, but the screwed up Big Sky Conference is subject for another thread.)

We will likely play them in the playoffs then if they get that far. Same thing with Idaho and Bozeman, they should meet in the early rounds.

Well I remember a game we were at when the Griz had to pull it out with a last minute field goal … not pretty.

Once again, thanks to Payton for putting the list together. Now here are my worthless armchair "Jimmy the Greek" predictions for week 6... already. It's going to fast, or I am just old and everything moves fast now.

2025 FCS Week 6 Schedule
1 North Dakota State continues to roll on and will remain undefeated against #6Illinois State
2 South Dakota State will meet a spirited #24Youngstown State but will put the penguins on ice.
3 Tarleton State play the titans:rolleyes: of the FCS, Southern Utah, and remain undefeated
4 Montana get to heal up and continue to improve as a unit easily defeating Idaho State by 21+ pts
5 Kittens are meeting a good #13 Northern Arizona team that has the potential to upset the Puds.
6 Illinois State is over ranked and will be exposed by #1North Dakota State
7 UC Davis will win this California horse race beating Cal Poly by a nose in a photo finish.
8 Rhode Island beats Brown in a totally irrelevant game.
9 Lehigh is a decent team this year and takes the Yale boys lunch money this Saturday.
10 Southern Illinois hands poor another bad loss to Indiana State that will finally send them into therapy
11 Tennessee Tech is yet another really tough game to call right? but will beat down Western Illinois
12 Idaho is OFF the fried potatoes need to recover from last week.
13 Northern Arizona Could upset the #5 Kittens if the puds dont pay attention
14 Monmouth is going to swat the Delaware State Hornets around the field.
15 North Dakota will go to (3-2) after Fighting Hawks take down Northern Iowa
16 West Georgia is going to beat defeated in the house that #22Austin Peay Governors rule supreme in.
17 Jackson State easily handle them in state little brother Alabama A&M
18 Villanova is on the warpath and will be taking it out on New Hampshire
19 Abilene Christian is going to nail North Alabama to the cross. (Did I just go too far?)
20 Lamar won't be able to close the deal on Saturday, and the Nicholls Colonels win this battle.
21 South Dakota looks to rebound from last week and take a bite out of Murray State
22 Austin Peay wins this battle on Saturday upsetting #16 West Georgia
23 Presbyterian Blue hose are OFF and I might say is going to be the premier program in the Big South
24 Youngstown State is going to be put on ice by #2 South Dakota State
25 Harvard has no business being ranked since they don't play in the NC, I digress. The oG college football team will continue moving up the ranks, keeping deserving teams out after they beat Holy Cross

Other Big Sky Conference Game
PSU
are going to stew the EWU getting their first win of the season.
Sacramento St (2-3) OFF
Weber State (2-3) OFF
N Colorado (2-3) OFF
