Loud Injury

He was on the field with his arm in a sling after the game.
This would mean it's either an AC sprain or sprain of the shoulder socket (not a dislocation but a stretch of the ligaments around the shoulder joint). If it was a broken collarbone or dislocated shoulder, I would imagine he wouldn't still be on the field. Unless something has changed and as long as it's not the worst kind of AC sprain, he should be able to play as soon as he can play with the pain.

I was worried about a collar bone too initially, but expect he wouldn’t have come back out if that was the case as others have stated.

Dislocations suck, but if you let them heal and work to tighten the tendons they can be limited. I do have a finger that still dislocates every time I use it to push just right on doors and such though. My shoulder which was dislocated has never given me a recurrent issue, but never stretched it out the same after and gave up some degree of movement to not have that happen again. Don’t think Loud can be afforded that luxury. I don’t know how MN or home grown could deal with it being a constant issue. It hurt like a son of a gun when I did it. I’ve helped reduce a few and it can be a pain to get them back in.

I sprained both AC joints during my time playing football and though painful at first and somewhat limiting was able to play through them though I had a larger degree
sprain later that took a bit longer to heal and they never sit the same again so your movement is further limited. Hitting can hurt afterwards.

Hopefully his injury is one of the latter injuries if it’s a shoulder and something he can work past soon. I would expect him to be out at least a few weeks and would expect Hawkins to really attack our corners next week in Pocatello though, Lawler stepped up yesterday.

I couldn’t see the player from the Griz who kicked the Idaho player when he tried to help him up. I was in the NEZ and didn’t get a clear shot of the whole situation. I didn’t look good and it also looked like the Spud player was a drama queen. I think he was hurt about three different times. Off the field and right back on after that. Regardless, Griz were lucky they didn’t get a PI out of that incident.

these things never seem to really heal, and a lot of docs will tell you to skip the sling and start strengthening it right away. people who have the surgery to pin it in place say it takes a long time to recover and doesn't really help much. ha, i've injured myself in other ways a few times when the sucker popped out of the joint and stayed out. i get so desperate to get it back in that i twist my body and push it so hard with my other arm i lose my balance and fall on the ground. once did that and lost my footing and fell on a busy street with a car coming. bruised my hip pretty badly, but thankfully the driver was paying attention and stopped.
