17-0?

bubz must have played terrible. I didn’t watch, of couse, but I know it was bad because we just got home and the neighbor’s dog was here waiting for us. Poor thing. It knows to get away from him after a sucky bub day.

When I took the dog back, the neighbor’s wife said he was already in bed. Apparently, the second half was a “struggle bus” and I asked her if they were struggling on a short bus but she was not in the mood for jokes. She said they threw 3 passes in the second half, 2 were completed for 13 yards, and the one incompletion was actually a pick.
Struggle (short) bus indeed

I will say it is going to be an interesting season for the Cats. I do think they will get better as the season goes on. Today’s game was just weird. Was a fast game time wise. Next week’s game will be an indicator of where they are. They are at home against EWU. They need to show some consistency with their offense.

Yes, I think the Griz are the favorites this year in the Conference. They look very good and have a favorable schedule.
Won’t the cats get some oline guys back that are beat up right now too?

How will playing EWU be an indicator?? They're almost as bad as Mercyhurst... what..

I think Mercyhurst would beat Portland St who I think is actually the worst team in the FCS this season. Otherwise I agree.
I think PSU would hang 30 on them. PSU has had a tough ass schedule. 2 fbs teams, the #3 team in the fcs and then UND and we know they are damn good. So ya, they got pretty much blown out ever game but, 75% of the fcs would look the same with that schedule.

And I think Mercyhurst would beat PSU, but reality, who cares.

They’ll be fine. I expect the brawl will be the conference title game this year. It’s going to be a close fought game this year
Watching all of their games and all of Idaho's games. As of now this far into the season, Idaho looks to be a level above the Cats right now. Both have some serious struggles. I'm sure as the season progresses they will be on a more competitive level, and the cats will improve a lot. Right now the vandals look like a much more solid team than the Bobs

When I went to see Hawaii, I was actually excited to see their QB, Micah Alejado play, but he didn't play in that game against Sam Houston or the following week against Portland State.
Neither SHSU or UH were particularly impressive, Sam has one of the worst pass defenses in the nation and I was fairly convinced that even though I had only listened to Montana/CWU on the radio feed that Montana would beat SHSU and be in that game with Hawaii where they won 37-20.
The numbers for Portland State were not all that different from Sam Houston, 230 total yards for PSU, 238 for Sam. Portland State only ran for 41 yards.
I know they have put together a difficult ooc schedule, but I don't think the blowouts are all due to playing good teams. They alone chose this schedule, two FBS games to get paydays for a flailing program, but by the end of the year, Barney will fall on the sword.
