Good problems we have at WaGriz - tailgating, season tickets, blowout wins

1. Tailgating is so good and conveniently located that people leave at Halftime and don't make it back in until the middle of the 3rd quarter...if they even come back at all.

2. Empty seats from no-show season ticket holders. Many season ticket holders don't bother to fill their seats for games they can't make. People are affluent enough that it isn't worth the hassle to deal with selling the tickets for the game Seatgeek or FB.

3. Blowing out opponents so bad that fans get bored and leave in the 3rd. The stadium was barely 50% capacity by the beginning of the 4th.

My tickets did not sell on Seat Geek for $25.00 each. Row one of Section 233C. Sometimes things aren't what they seem. If it's that easy to get seats (and since this is the second game in a row I couldn't sell them, it seems like there must be more supply than demand) it makes me wonder why I should buy season tickets.

Usually stay the whole game, but the sun has definitely been intense the last two games making it seem warmer. After staying last week for an amazing finish, couldn’t ask my wife to bake in that sun any longer when we were blowing them out and could watch the 4th in the car on the way home in some A/C. Will be there all game next week and happy for a late cool start.

Bobcats every other year.

I would be a fan of Noon starts for the September games. It can be done for Griz/Cat, why not a couple more for early season warm temperature games.
Also, not a fan of waiting to announce the 50/50 ticket until the 2 minute warning. It's always done before that, and there plenty of stoppages of play to get it done.
Everything else is how it's always been, you're not going to change the social aspect of Griz games.
Oh yea, the DJ sucks!

This whole week I had friends reaching out with tickets to sell, if even give away.

- This was the 3rd of 4 games in a row
- It was a beautiful day and you just don't know how many great weekends you have left in the fall
- Day game against a ho-hum opponent
- Bow season is active
- Game was sandwiched between two top-20 opponents

Not all fans live in Missoula. Some drive from Billings, Circle and many points along the hiline. People want to get a jump on the miles home during a non-conference early season blowout is understandable.
No one drives seven hours roundtrip to leave after two quarters. Those are the hardcores. I've made those trips for 30 years.

The people who leave early in my section are locals. They're out of the stadium and doing other things in under an hour.

I used to do 10 hours roundtrip on occasion before being married. One time was 2009 when the Griz were down by 27 against SDSU. Glad I didn't leave that game early.
