Idaho State WTH...

This is the reason I feel that even though D-II wins and below don't receive consideration for post season, games against D-III and below should not even count in the standings. Was it Portland State that beat North American 83-0 a few years back? That team was in the same category with this one from California and they suspended their program before the start of the season. It's a joke that these teams play 10 to 12 games, all on the road, the school makes all that money off of the game contracts and the athletes get to pay to go to school. Sounds like a good way for a bad injury to occur, and that would all be on the athlete as well.

I was telling a buddy at work a few weeks ago that ISU could give UNLV a decent and he kinda scoffed at it. But the next Monday morning he admitted I was right.

OK they got stomped by SUU but they also played two FBS teams close. I think they're quietly building something there...

Lincoln has never played a home game. Because they don't have a field on which to play. They are 3-43 all time. And no, you've definitely never heard of anyone they beat. Any program scheduling them should be ashamed.

I think plenty of people know of Wilamette, it's in Salem, OR.
I have heard of Bluefield, from Bluefield, WV they actually lost to Presbyterian today.
Not familiar with Hilbert, but that is in Hamburg, NY.

That's just the high-sleights. Read on:

A record HIGH attendance for opening home game, 6,203. UM would have to go back to the glory days of New Dornblaser for that attendance mark. At that, half of the six thousand were blind drunk by games end. At least ISU is building a fan base again. Less than 25 years ago they played the likes of Western Montana, yes, Dillon, and attendance was a whopping 3,500-4,000 for the opener.
AND, yesterday both coaches agreed to eight minute quarters for the second half. My guess is Hawkins tried everything to keep from scoring after the half, but, alas, they scored 21 more points in the final sixteen minutes.

The good news is for the SCATS. They probably have Vegan on a plane to Oakland, as we speak, to rush over to do a multi-year contract in Bozo. Mercyhurst finally figured them out.

At least Pocatello HAS a newspaper, jokingly call the 'Urinal' by locals.
