Aside from falling short with Larry Bird in 1979, they haven't really been much in basketball either. This is a MVFC team that is at the tail end of the standings most years. I expect to cover the 24.5 with almost a field goal spare. I won't be disappointed if it comes up less as long as the weekend ends up 1-0, but I am sticking with my original call.

They did get screwed by the committee two seasons ago and should’ve got an at large bid to the tourney but instead they let in some lowly like ACC team or something. I felt terrible for them.
Was that the year with “Cream Abdul-Jabbar” Robbie Avila?

Love to see two areas of improvement before next week's show down with Idaho:
1. 0 sacks--give Keali'i time to throw and open some decent holes for Eli and Stevie !!!
2. Four-five sacks on our D, with 2-3:from our DE's who so far have 0
for the year in our first two games. If the only way we can get pressure on the opposing QB is to blitz out of the 3-3-5, sooner or later the combination of a crafty opposing OC and his mobile QB that can throw a little are going to make us pay by throwing to and through our blitzing LB and/or DB.
Go GRIZ. !!!

After one quarter in West Long Branch, NJ Monmouth 17, Villanova 7. As someone pointed out earlier this week on one of the threads, this is not an upset, if Nova comes back to win, that would be the upset.
This is kinda the perfect day! It’s beautiful out, I’m not working, and I get to watch the Griz wile I do a low wines run on my still.
