no more spring transfer portal

I would support a single transfer time frame but why have it before the CFP and FCS Championship are done. This puts more pressure on the athletes, I feel, to enter the portal so they are available ahead of others and takes them away from the teams for post-season play. If they slide the dates back two weeks, they could avoid this, but I don't feel that there needs to be multiple open windows.

If they slide the dates they start missing enrollment dates for school. I think everyone still forgets that for the time being they are all still student athletes....

My issue with this is that it puts players and coaches in an ugly spot. With a post-spring transfer window, the team can bring in transfers at the end of the season and they can all get a shot in spring camp. After Spring Camp, kids are often told that it is time to move on and there just probably won't be a spot for them in the fall. Without a post-spring transfer window, those kids are just completely hosed, right? Or they have to drop all the way to NAIA?

I would think there will be a large collective sigh of relief from Assistant Coaches throughout the country. Eliminating this portal window should take some of the stress off from the almost year around search and recruitment duties to fill voids left from kids transferring out multiple times a year.
Yes, Bobby has publicly said a couple times that he doesn't like the spring window and that he wished there was only one window.
