Ticket Question

I have a friend coming in from Texas for the Idaho game so I went to Griztix to buy him a seat. There is a single by my season ticket in the North Endzone that is available. It is listed at $117.40!

Has the U contracted out all their ticket sales to a ticket reseller? That is a ridiculous amount to spend for one game when my season ticket in the same spot was $315 including fees.

It's just another one of those things they expect you'll learn to live with.....

Your buddy is just going to need to pony up

I agree they seem a bit expensive on GrizTix for some reason... better option might be one that is available on egriz which seem reasonable for the most part...

Try one of the Griz Fans pages on Facebook.

I know about the other options. Thanks. I was just curious if anyone knew if this was yet another money grab to sell single game tickets at about a 300% markup.

It might be dynamic pricing - the less seats remaining, the higher the price goes. I have no inside knowledge if this is true though.

On StubHub, the cheapest ticket in the NEZ for that game is $110. Not saying it is right or wrong, but if people will pay $110 to a third-party vendor, why can't or why shouldn't the university charge and get the same amount?

I'm not so sure if it is a money grab or just supply/demand. FWIW, the cheapest single ticket on StubHub for that game is around $75.

Griztix now uses dynamic pricing and presumably the more demand / less options the higher it'll be.

For the UND game ticket prices the start of the week were $100/each and by game day were all the way down to $20 to $25 each. I'd tell him not to panic and buy something yet unless if he gets a good price from someone like @Beware_the_D posting above me here.

Thanks for the input. The dynamic pricing concept does make sense. Patience is a virtue, and can also save one some money when it comes to sports ticketing.
