The constant non-stop canned music

Brutal. It has to go.

Not every damn second needs to be filled with artificial noise. And more then once it continued well after a play began, which is a rules violation.

My god. Just let the band play. Or let people enjoy a moment without music.

Also, get off my damn yard and I need to go take my pills now

There’s some opportune times where it’s warranted to get the crowd fired up, but man that and filling every single tv timeout with something is a bit much. Having to have Monte drag a contestant off the field because they are holding up play and hearing that music come through on the broadcast wasn’t a good look.

The band did a few things different that were enjoyable. Maybe I’m too old as well and should probably stop shaking my cane at the youngins and their social activities at a football game. Not like the football is actually important

I go to the games, get into the stadium a bit early, and I couldn't tell you one song that was played, at either game this year. I guess I just don't listen to that stuff. Must just block it out. I talk to people, look at ESPN, look at the players warming up or coming out a bit, and text friends about the game and other games. Most of the time, I also couldn't tell you what uniforms the Griz wear. I remember the white ones from the first game, but don't know what they wore last game. I like the numbers on the back, though. I usually don't pay attention to who raised the flag either. I saw and heard the 2 planes come over after the national anthem in the last game.

I find the comments and banter, on egriz, about music and other non-football stuff to be amusing. Doesn't anyone look at other game results, stats of those games, and rosters/starters of the Griz and their opponent?

I guess I come for the football part of the games, and the beer, and not the music and other junk. Sometimes I glance at the videos of players and other Griz athletes.

I wish I had video replay at my seat. I'd look at most plays 3 or 4 times before the next play.

I agree about the music right before a play, but what was really frustrating was the constant contests/stuff happening down on the field during TV timeouts. It seems like they're trying to do something to get crowd interaction, when it would be better to just play some classic music and let the crowd enjoy it. And some of it was so poorly timed, especially the one with Monte coming out on the Humvee. The timeout was over and the teams were lined up ready for play and the vehicle is still on the field. Then they had to hustle to try to get it off the field. It looks amateurish and poorly planned and executed. I just seems like they're trying to do too much in an effort to make it more interesting, but I think the opposite would be true. Sometimes less is more.

100% agree.

This is exactly how I am too... add in the children factor of bathroom / snack runs between plays, and there isnt much recollection of the music. Chatting with people around me, checking scores, txt ect fill the voids and dont hear much of the music.

I have written to both of them more than once voicing my opinion on these matters. Hopefully they will listen to more fans.

I cannot believe that Coach Hauck or anyone associated with Griz Football hasn't complained about the DJ playing music right up until the snap when the Griz had the ball.

I for one like the pump up the crowd music. Although you say you don't listen to the music, it does affect you because if the correct song is played, the crowd gets energized and therefore the stadium gets loud, ie, crowd involvement. if you don't notice this then? (I still think they need different music) Timing of the skits, the contests, nonexistent Monte, etc... is so far this year, pretty poor. The military flyover of the two A10 Warthogs was perfectly timed to fly overhead at the end of the National Anthem!

Uh, yeah dude. This is kinda the point. I'd much prefer a video replay or scores from another game or stats from the GRIZ game than a DJ blaring loud music. If anything it takes fans out of the game. Look, the occasional pump up song is great; but when it's done all the time, it has the opposite effect. Same for the contests/on-the-field skits: a few is great; one every timeout makes it feel like a minor league baseball game.

Hoops, I agree. I really wish we got much more replays over Griz vision. Especially great plays, close calls, all turn overs. Go Griz!
