Biggest FCS Budgets

From a March 2025 Harvard Crimson article:

“Harvard increased its overall athletics spending to $43,636,552 this year, marking a $4,067,892 increase from the previous year”.

I would think travel costs for teams in the West would push them to the top of the list. There are teams in the East that rarely have to fly to a game.
Are facilities not part of the equation. NDSU plays in a venue owned by the city.
The number of home games and the cost of paying opponents to play in a hard to reach spot like Missoula, has to be a factor too.

Based on the amounts, it's the cost of travel, staff, facilities, nutrition, supplies, and other ancillary expenses. the higher FY2024 football budgets for the rabbits and scats most likely has to do with the FCS National Championship game. bizon most likely have a lower budget due to facilities and where they choose to line item their staffing expenses.
