Kent Haslam just said on the radio that uniforms tonight are all white. So the crowd is in black and the team is in white. I don't really understand that but okay.

I just heard the Scripps Sports field announcer state that all the fans are in a blackout but the players are in white because of the heat. They expect high temperatures - so it was a strategic move.
And they couldn't have known that in advance? The first game or two is always pretty warm. I can't remember which game it was a few years back that was so blessed hot I thought I was going to spontaneously combust. Maybe a blackout in September is just a bad idea in general. But I'm just a stupid football fan.

Being originally from Texas, I found the heat excuse a little silly, and would prefer to wear maroon at home (or black for a blackout). But meh, whatever. Looked good and winning is all that matters.
My favorite uni combos are all whites, followed by a close 2nd all maroon combos. They looked great Saturday night.
The 2011 Cat-Griz helmet would have really completed the look. I'd post a picture but I have never been able to figure out how to do that. Silver helmet with white Griz script decal and facemask.
