Cat game analysis

The BSC conference is weak. The Cats will win many games, especially the ones at home. They are a top 10 team in FCS, but they just don’t have the hogs up front and they certainly don’t have a QB who inspires the same confidence that TM did. Realistically it would be very hard for them to put together a championship run. They lost quite a few dudes and many fo my Cat friends are saying it is a rebuilding year. You don’t just rebound unless you have QB#2 waiting in the wings and you don’t get decimated by the portal. Injuries could really hit the Cats hard on the lines. We shall see. Going to be an interesting year. On another note - we will see how good the Griz are when UND comes to town. I have the bye week on the front end. Maybe it will help with team cohesion?
Agreed. The BSC is not great. NDSU and everyone else...again :-(

Agree, BSC is not great, at this point, and I would say NAU looks like the best team in the conference. NDSU is not as formidable either. Missouri Valley is wide open.

scats will still win the conference and the National Championship because they have the best coach and the best players in the BSC. They won't lose another game all year.

Game A: Big Sky Team got blown off the field from the opening kick, had 0 😱 negative plays, had 2 decent looking players on offense and otherwise badly sucked on both sides of the ball, could pass the ball a little--good thing because at 2 yards a carry they sure couldn't run it, got blown off the field and embarrassed by losing by 46 points, way over the spread of 28 points, and Is not nearly as good as last year's 14-1 team.

Game B: Big Sky team put a big scare 😱 in Ducks, had 3 sacks and a few other negative plays on D, could move the ball a little on the ground , easily covered the spread, and lost by 10 points to the # 1 regular-season ranked team, which was heavily laden with top NFL draft picks.

"Care to guess which game was yesterday and which was last year's Idaho game that somehow ended up 24-14 ? "

Shi__y Kitties 😸 are in a rebuilding year: best case, 9-3, more realistically 8-4. They are coming out of Eugene pretty beat up as well, potentially negatively effecting them the rest of the season.

We wouldn't have beat Oregon either, but we sure as hell wouldn't also have gotten blown up in and blown out of Autzen Stadium by 46 points, with the one SK TD coming in garbage time against The Duck 3's. If O HC Lanning had wanted to be a prick, he could have run up the score by 2-3 more TD's, 60 + points !!!
I don’t think you understand the talent level difference. The best offensive player for the Griz last year couldn’t make an NFL roster. Oregon has players who will make an NFL impact the day they get drafted.

Fwiw, the last game the Griz played they were losing by 30+ points until there were some garbage time TD’s. It would be much worse against an actual powerhouse P4 school. Don’t delude yourself into thinking otherwise.

As for what this means for MSU? Who knows. Hard to take anything away from a game like that. They never had a chance.

Lol. Best coach and best players? Come on now.

Genius prognosticator, you can't tell the long term outlook based in a live performance? Is recruiting your only expertise ? :)

Only a fool would say they know how MSU is going to be after watching them against an opponent that overmatched them that much. It would be like crowning a BSC team as eventual champions for beating Western 72-0.

Only a fool would say you can't glean anything off a live performance. You can tell some nuances, and impacts of changes in personnel. Of course you don't know how the season will play out, but its foolish to say you can't tell anything. Especially when you're out there proclaiming how recruiting is going roughly a full 6 months before the first signing period.

I’m not sure how much can be concluded playing a team where the gap in talent is so vast. They they probably have three first round pick type talent on their Oline and dline alone.

Anyone who thought the scats were going to be competitive in that game didn’t know enough about the opponent. They would have done similar to UM.

Don't delude yourself, you know about as much about football as you do about foreplay, Genius. !!! Our team is noticehǰably bigger, stronger, and faster 💪 than last year's, and Cat Whisperer, your Shi__y Kitties 😸 are noticeably smaller, slower, and weaker. !!! In short, Cat Whisperer, we have improved over last year's team, and your beloved Shi__y Kitties have declined. !!!

Almost every post you make about football and Da GRIZ, for example your brilliant false pontification about how we just can't recruit against your Shi__y 😸 Kitties, you reinforce the old proverb, " You can't fix stupid 😜 !!! "

That’s not what I said, but if it makes it easier for you to think that, then by all means proceed.

I want whatever you are smoking the Missouri Valley is wide open lol? NDSU received 53-56 first place votes idk how that translates to not as formidable but the Bison are very good way better than anyone else at the FCS level.

That Idaho team got decimated by injuries after that game, and I think that game Oregon played pretty terribly (which happens).

This year's Oregon team might be better than last year's team, too.

But also, they could have just been a horrible matchup for MSU. I hope the cats are dogshit all year, but I don't think we're gonna be that lucky. Hopefully you're right, though. I certainly don't want the cats to be good, ever.
A top FCS team should show better against even the No. 1 FBS team, is my view. The Cats showed almost nothing good or credible except Dowler and QB. Where were the touted OL, rb’s and DL? Cats couldn’t get even a short run, except 1. DL didn’t seem to do anything. My analysis is based on hope. It’s what I observed.

"Hard to take anything away from a game like that". You make strange/ bold claims, then seem to forget what you said. Its really somethin.
That was said within the context of whether they’d be really good like last season or not. Context matters Nick. Obviously things can be taken in the macro, such as the Dowler kid is really good, but that game didn’t show anybody if they’re title contenders or not. You’re smart enough to know what I was getting at. Don’t be dense.

Cats lose next week, lose to NAU, UCD, and to the Griz. My .02.

It amazes me that after years of posting here you still mess up the format of responding to a post.
We all can't be a humble, erudite, yet very likeable football Nostradamus like you, 😺 Kitty Whisperer !!!

Wow, this year's GRIZ team is an exact carbon copy of last year's GRIZ team ...I had to just put my sunglasses on inside 😎 the house just to bask in your brilliance, Kitty 😺 Whisperer !!!
