Cat game analysis

I don't judge the Cats by the score. I judge the Cats by how they looked. Except for Dowler and QB, I didn't see much. The Cat run game and runs by the backs were weak; in fact, bad or non-existent. The Cats have been sending/losing OL to FBS. If the OL is as good as prior years, why couldn't they open even a little hole?
Remains to be seen, but I’d argue they are more talented. Most certainly bigger and faster than last years team.
You can argue what you want, but I don't agree.

Why did Idaho stick with Oregon last season? Wasn’t Oregon no. 3 in nation with one loss last year?

Oregon may be great again this year, but my view is that the Cats made them look good. It works both ways.
You don’t know enough about last years or this years Oregon team. There is context to the Idaho game last year that your missing that makes your transitive property argument invalid.

well, you’d be wrong. Take it from someone who knows their roster, is an Oregon season ticket holder and was at the game.

Wait what? If the lose to SDSU…and it’s a close game. There’d be a good chance they’d stay top 5.
If the Cats lose to SDSU in the same fashion as Oregon que the same excuses of how SDSU is an elite FCS that would beat anyone in the Big Sky. Never mind that the Cats are low energy without Tommy there to pump them up.

Ha yeah but I’d be hard pressed to think the cats would lose in anyway resembling their loss to Oregon. If they lose, it’ll be close… is my guess.

Game A: Oregon outgained Big Sky opponent 507-244 and had a 29-17 advantage in first downs.

Game B: Oregon outgained Big Sky opponent 487-217 and had a 31-10 advantage in first downs.

Care to guess which game was yesterday and which was last year's Idaho game that somehow ended up 24-14?

This game doesn't tell us any more about how good MSU will be this season than your beatdown of Central Washington will this Saturday.

Driving down the lane today and I could see my neighbor was out shooting his bow which is hilarious because if, by some divine miracle, he ever hits his homemade, hillbilly target, he cannot get his arrow out of it, and it would take an even bigger miracle for him to get an elk next weekend. The definition of “futility.”
When I pulled in, it looked like he ran to hide behind a bush. He finally came out and said, “you only stop to visit when my bobcats lose.” Not true; just a week or two ago I stopped in after Trashcan Tommy got waived. You would have thought someone died.
Today, he said, “last year’s cats team would have lost by a bigger margin of victory to Oregon than this year’s cats team did.” Most of the shit that comes out of his mouth makes my head hurt. This seemed particularly dumb. Instant headache.
Do all bubz believe this? It’s like their arrogance is only matched by their stupidity.

Which team forgot how to punt?

I know plenty about the Oregon team last year, and saw the game against the Cat game this year. You don't know enough about the game of football.

Let's see your breakdown of how the Oregon team this year is bigger and faster. I assume you just made that up, but I don't know either. So, let's see your analysis.

Sure the game tells us some things about the Cats. We watched the game. Some of us understand the game. It's pretty clear that you don't understand the game.

That Idaho team got decimated by injuries after that game, and I think that game Oregon played pretty terribly (which happens).

This year's Oregon team might be better than last year's team, too.

But also, they could have just been a horrible matchup for MSU. I hope the cats are dogshit all year, but I don't think we're gonna be that lucky. Hopefully you're right, though. I certainly don't want the cats to be good, ever.

The BSC conference is weak. The Cats will win many games, especially the ones at home. They are a top 10 team in FCS, but they just don’t have the hogs up front and they certainly don’t have a QB who inspires the same confidence that TM did. Realistically it would be very hard for them to put together a championship run. They lost quite a few dudes and many fo my Cat friends are saying it is a rebuilding year. You don’t just rebound unless you have QB#2 waiting in the wings and you don’t get decimated by the portal. Injuries could really hit the Cats hard on the lines. We shall see. Going to be an interesting year. On another note - we will see how good the Griz are when UND comes to town. I have the bye week on the front end. Maybe it will help with team cohesion?

Yeah, the team that beat Ohio State in the regular season and had 5-10 NFL draft picks, and was ranked # 1 going into The CFP ?
Really ? I think you need to wash your glasses !!!

One thing I noticed on several plays is that Oregon was easily able to shove cat defenders off of them (i.e. can’t tackle) and for the plays where the cats somewhat stopped the run, they didn’t tackle, they just hit their RB and he fell over. And then the cats would get up and act like they made some world beating play. Looked like how the Griz used to tackle. Just hitting guys with shoulders hoping they would fall over.

Game A: Big Sky Team got blown off the field from the opening kick, had 0 😱 negative plays, had 2 decent looking players on offense and otherwise badly sucked on both sides of the ball, could pass the ball a little--good thing because at 2 yards a carry they sure couldn't run it, got blown off the field and embarrassed by losing by 46 points, way over the spread of 28 points, and Is not nearly as good as last year's 14-1 team.

Game B: Big Sky team put a big scare 😱 in Ducks, had 3 sacks and a few other negative plays on D, could move the ball a little on the ground , easily covered the spread, and lost by 10 points to the # 1 regular-season ranked team, which was heavily laden with top NFL draft picks.

"Care to guess which game was yesterday and which was last year's Idaho game that somehow ended up 24-14 ? "

Shi__y Kitties 😸 are in a rebuilding year: best case, 9-3, more realistically 8-4. They are coming out of Eugene pretty beat up as well, potentially negatively effecting them the rest of the season.

We wouldn't have beat Oregon either, but we sure as hell wouldn't also have gotten blown up in and blown out of Autzen Stadium by 46 points, with the one SK TD coming in garbage time against The Duck 3's. If O HC Lanning had wanted to be a prick, he could have run up the score by 2-3 more TD's, 60 + points !!!

They may not, I would argue, should not, be ranked in Top 5 after they got smoked so badly in the Autzen blowout--The Shi__y 😸 Kitties should be ranked 6-10 after that massacre !!!

If they lose to SDSU, drop the SK's to 10-15, and The Titanic is going down, man the lifeboats, women and children first. !!! : ( !!!
