That makes one of us….Tarleton looks scary to me. Who was better….the Army team they beat tonight or the New Mexico team last year that basically gave the game away in their loss to the Cats?I didn't think either Tarleton or Army were very good. Tarleton didn't seem to have much of a passing game, nor run game. 344 yards of TO. 16 First Downs, 16-30 for 152 yards passing, for 5.1 yards per pass. Lots of short passes. 4.6 average per rush. No picks thrown, so that was good. Tarleton D stopped Army fairly well, but Army didn't seem to have much of an O. The Tarleton kicker was good on his 3 FG's, but long of 37. Punter was a 35 yard guy.
Glad Tarleton won, but they don't scare me at all.
Why would we be scared of a team that we probably won’t even play? Plus we beat Tarleton State anywayThat makes one of us….Tarleton looks scary to me. Who was better….the Army team they beat tonight or the New Mexico team last year that basically gave the game away in their loss to the Cats?
Meh... I'm not quite sure why anyone gets so upset by preseason rankings. If one doesn't like preseason rankings, then by all means, ignore all the rankings that come out until that last Monday of September. That’s what I was thinking - they will be a top 10 FCS team this year. Pre-season rankings are a joke. It should be last Monday in September for all of the schools
Since they traveled coast to coast and played on a 6 day week I was curious the total mileage of travel for the Texans between week 1 and week 0. By the time they get home tomorrow they will have travelled 7272.4 miles!!!!
Unless someone on their remaining schedule drastically improved in the offseason there’s a legit chance they run the table. There’s a difficult three game stretch against W. Georgia, Eastern Kentucky, then ACU at the end of October.
