From what I've heard, it wouldn't have been much help for smoke regardless, as it was VERY hot in there during higher temps. Word on the street is during repairs they will also be insulating it to accommodate use during hot weather as well as reduce energy consumption.
To make it usable year round in Montana wouldn't it need both heat AND AC?
Definitely, and im not sure if it has both within its forced air units. I can inquire on that.
I believe Haslam said they would also be installing AC in it.

I haven't seen anyone mention it on other posts, but Griz football and soccer have been using the field somedays for outdoor fall practices while the bubble is away.

It’s disappointing that they’re unable to use it at a time when it might be useful and increase practice productivity
Article I read said it will be gone for at least a month.
On another note, I had no idea, but did you know the Cincinnati Bengals the Dallas Cowboys the Arizona Cardinals and I beleive it’s one other all have practice bubbles similar to ours.
Arizona State has a bubble that they have used for years with few problems. I know the Dallas Cowboys have a beautiful indoor permanent facility called The Star in Frisco.

The Bubble turf field is being used as the main practice field in The Bowl practice area, where the team is holding practices now. It's very convenient having the Bubble down.
