That's the Mormon Brotherhoods strategy, divide and conquer. Devious, but simple.
My understanding is they won't be able to designate any of their younger players to stay over the roster limit when they eventually get in. That will hurt them. It will limit what they can offer to players. I doubt it will effect much at PSU and NAU, but I'd be interested to see if it hurts NAU's cross country program if other schools can offer a better package to the best runners.
Idaho and ISU don't make a lot of sense to me. It seems like they are just shooting themselves in the foot.
Yeah, unfortunately I have to think that nau's CC team will get decimated.
I'm honestly surprised NAU didn't opt in just for CC and T&F. I know they had an AD search happening in June and the guy wasn't hired until early July but he was the interim and was already with the department. I agree that it has the potential to hurt them, but they'll probably still be heavy favorites both on the course and on the track.
