The private money for the Lady Griz Locker Room Project was raised by the end of this Spring. The Project has been stalled waiting for a letter of approval from the State. I talked to an Athletic Dept. staffer this morning. The letter of approval has finally been received, and the project will begin construction right away. It is about a 5-month project.

Thanks, I was going to ask for an update on this as it seemed (to me, at least) to be stalled since before GFeller and Stiles were here...maybe even back to Schweyen coaching.
So, maybe they will have it available around the turn of the year, if my math is right and no more problems arise? Any ideas on what the LG will use in the meantime for the first half of the season (or was it taking over a new area...I don't recall)?

They will use their current locker room during construction. The new one will be in the vacated equipment room, directly to the east of the current locker room. To access the playing floor, currently they come down stairs on the west side of floor-side seats on the South end-zone. From the new locker room, they will enter the floor from the east side of those seats. They will use a stairway that hasn't been used in ages, since I was in school, I think.
The new locker room will also house the Volleyball Team. I think the current (old) locker room will eventually house Olympic sports and maybe Softball.
The equipment room has been moved to under the east-side B level seats, where the weight room was before the Champions Center was built. Part of the reason for the delay getting going on the Ladie's locker room project was getting the equipment room moved.
