Any other GSA members having issues buying tickets today?

Single game sales are supposed to begin at 10:00 a.m. today, 7/16. I don't seem to have any way to buy tickets and I've been on hold with Griztix for 15 minutes. Anyone know the secret?

They must have sold a lot of season tickets and mini plans, even games like Indiana st only have around 100 tickets available. Or they aren't releasing much to GSA members.

My dad was trying to get some single game tickets near their seats in the Northwest corner and while he managed to find tickets, they're over in 133 and up in the nosebleeds. I wonder if it's cat fans buying season tickets just to get tickets for their game and then they will just sell the rest? I have no idea but it might be plausible. In any case it seems like single game tickets are in very short supply this year.

That's just flat out false. People start this rumor every time the game is in Missoula and that's just completely wrong. Every year we sell around 19,000 season tickets (whether we're hosting the cats or not), and then students and the band get about 2,500-3,000 and then the visiting team is supposed to get around 250-500. When you do the math on all that, it leaves barely anything left for single game tickets.

Could you do the math?

I mean I thought it would be good for the person who claimed cat fans are buying Griz season tickets to do the math since they made such a ridiculous post but yes I can do the math. If you take the high end of each range it will come out to around 22,500. That leaves just around 2,500 single game tickets available assuming that my estimations on season tickets and student tickets are within that area.

You didn't really have to do the math.

Do you know the difference between making a claim and conjecture? I never CLAIMED anything - just wondered why there are hardly any single game tickets available. (My folks have bought some in the past and have never had a problem getting extra tickets near their seats and this year there's nothing. So while I don't have any proof of anything, I can confirm that something is different this year from last year, which was NOT a Cat year.) Others above have stated that there are less single tickets available than usual so I can't be the only one wondering why.

Apparently I offended you for some reason when I made my RIDICULOUS post that was PURE CONJECTURE. Jeez.

You didn't offend me. I was just pointing out that the conjecture you offered up is something that people bring up every time we play the cats in Missoula. The only thing I was trying to do was point out that it's unlikely that is happening once you look at the number of season tickets we sell and then what's left over. I apologize if I offended you. I didn't mean to come off that way.

I wasn't really offended either... Just poking back at some of your language. No harm no foul.

Can we start complaining about the cost of tickets now? Or start a useless discussion about stadium expansion??

This is the same reason why people didn't understand how the NDSU playoff game tickets in 2023 sold out within 15 minutes of going on sale to the general public. 19k season tickets renewed, plus the 3k student tickets, the 500 tickets to visiting fans. People freaked out that tickets sold so quickly when the reality was there was like only 2,000 tickets left.

So Cat fans were buying then too?

Since I was complaining in this thread about not being able to get single game tickets, I thought I would come back and give an update on my family's situation. Apparently my folks kept checking the website to see if any other tickets became available somehow, and they noticed that all of a sudden there were now tickets available in their section and only a few rows away from their seats. (According to what they said, there were a number of seats available, not just a couple.) Thankfully, they were able to call the ticket office and get their seats moved. I have no idea how this is the case since QB Club and GSA members are supposed to have first crack at the single game tickets, so I don't know where these tickets came from all of a sudden. The system seems confusing and not always fair, but at least all is well that ends well.

All that to say, if you previously purchased single game tickets and weren't exactly happy with what you were able to get, you might look again and possibly call the ticket office if it appears there are new ones available.
