Yep, I agree. It was kind of like watching Dante Olson play special teams and then that very next year he dominated as a linebacker. I think we will see the same.I noticed him on special teams this past season. Has a nose for the football.
Lolol darn near peed my pants!Kudos! Now eGriz won't have something to whine about for three years
I have no idea if he starts, but seeing the kid makes him look like he went from boy to man really fast. I didn't go to any practices, but I have a pretty good feeling he's going to show people he can ball. He was such an exciting recruit for us to get.
I like the sound of that. It will be interesting to see how these guys we have been looking forward to like the Triple O's on the LB corps (Oven, Otlewski, Opitz) will do in competition with some of the seemingly very high level guys we brought in to compete with them. I was excited about those guys, and now they have serious competition for reps and snaps. This will be quite the fall camp and early season as we see who really emerges for us in that room.I think he'll rotate time this year at LB - kid has really been ascending in practice that I've seen since he got here
Wing will start. The starting three IMO will be Tolbert, Wing, and Otlewski if he's healthy. After that, Leonard and Oven will absolutely be in the rotation. Opitz should be a big part of the rotation as well. And then I guess I should get some clarification, is Solomon T a LB or DE? I keep getting mixed signals about what position he actually plays. Regardless, I'm not the least bit worried about the LB room.Man our LB depth is through the roof we could have 10 guys see snaps this year, we have a 2nd team all conference guy coming in who might not even start
Yes? You are always way ahead of me on knowing things, but my impression was he would be in that Wilson/O'Connell edge role we have in the defense. And then I guess I should get some clarification, is Solomon T a LB or DE?
The Gogriz roster says LB but USC had him listed at DEYes? You are always way ahead of me on knowing things, but my impression was he would be in that Wilson/O'Connell edge role we have in the defense.
Absolutely. I think that we just don't use the right position term on the roster, to be honest. We have one of the linebackers that is used as an EDGE rusher like you see Nolan Smith a lot of times, for example. We don't start him on the end, so he isn't a DE, but using them as a mobile downfield attacker to create pressure. My assumption is that he will be in that EDGE spot that isn't quite DE, isn't quite LB. O'Connell manned that spot amazingly for us, hoping this guy can capture that. Or, obviously I could just be totally wrong. I have no inside information, that was just my belief after watching his tape. The Gogriz roster says LB but USC had him listed at DE
Don’t count out Cy Stevenson and Grady Walker either I’ve heard amazing things on both, also Moran and Goodman had great springs, with the athleticism of our LBs our special teams will be great too.Wing will start. Kinda surprised we haven’t seen a Kalispell or Great Falls. Patty O was definitely in contention. Mike Murphy from Great Falls was a beast back in the day.Map of hometowns of Grizzly Legacy number wearers

Clay was the most dominant Little Guy Football player I’ve ever seen. And Middle School Football player. People from here know. And then dominated at Central. Real deal Buck Buchanan/NFL type guy.Seems like a great kid, and I heard he was really cooking out there during spring ball.
One thing that really stands out about him is that he can take the heat… No one is going to kick him out of the kitchen. I know Bobby was really happy to get his mitts on him as a recruit.
