New in coming Griz 2Deep

I was shocked after Grizfan1984 posted a compiled list of all the new transfers/recruits, 46 in total if they all arrive. My first thought was I bet we could get a full 2 Deep out of em and sure enough, we’re one offensive linemen short of a 2-Deep with several 3rd stringers. That is crazy to me.

Our new transfers from all sources will makeup many of the starters on the Griz team this year. If they jell it will make for a magical year and several years after. Most of the senior transfers have significant on field experience for the position they were recruited for. Many others have the talent for the position of need for depth purposes and experience. Some of these players will have breakout year like other past Griz players.

Within the system our coaches have developed most players should jell. They will merely do their part. Outside of Gillman we have a "no name offense and defense" this year. The players recruited have much to prove if they have higher FB expectations. This will motivate many to jell. Most players will buy into this system.

The national changes in FB (NIL, P4-5, court settlements, etc.) in US will provide many FCS schools FBS transfers. The Griz staff has gone after this available talent in a major way this year of rebuilding our offensive and defensive lines. From what I read online many other FCS schools have done the same. I, personally, feel our staff have done one of the best jobs in the FCS at filling needs/voids at a high level through the portal. The Griz staff laid a foundation of talent for the next 2 yrs not counting this year.

Expect good things this year with Griz FB. Most will be surprised with our W-L record and playoff run.

Unreal the potential talent we have brought in....hears to hoping it all comes together but to get them hear I think Marcus and the good ol griz and their nil efforts need to be recognized!!!!!!!

Which also means thank you to all who have supported !!!!!!!

Thank To everyone who is part of it and to anyone who isn't time to jump on board and thanks for doing that :)

I know someone was complaining that we can’t build championship teams from the transfer portal. Im guessing his logic was because they’re not here very long? Anyway, here’s a class breakdown of the transfers. At least 28 of the 46 will be here 3+ years. Only 10 are a one and done. When you have glaring holes, it’s better to fill those holes with a 22-23 year old grown man that has a pretty good idea what he’s doing then with an 18 year old kid greener then Mt Sentinel in May.

When you have glaring holes, it’s better to fill those holes with a 22-23 year old grown men.......is this the griz philosophy.

A team fills holes by filling voids. The more mature the athlete is the better. The Griz philosophy is to win. The manner how the Griz fill voids varies from year to year. This year, IMO, is through the portal with players with high standards, FB skills and an academic background that make alumni and fans proud.
